Some ramp druids still run yetis. Other than that though, it's not really used in too many 'top tier' decks.
That being said, it's still an incredibly solid card for mid tier decks for lower ranked play or casual just to get quests done. Yeti is still an amazing card.
the reason for this is because yeti is just a stat value card with absolutely no flavor. with almost no synergy with any other deck. with zoo/aggro being the meta at the moment, taunts are more valuable.
really there just wasnt much 4 drops that were better before and you'd really only put in yeti if your missing something for a 4 drop in order to round off your mana curve.
For me it's hard to justify the Chillwind Yeti when you could just run out Loatheb. Higher mana, yeah, but also a lot more tactical in most circumstances.
In the Druid mirror I hate not having Yetis though.
You're very wrong about Loatheb. He's good against almost every deck out there. First of all, 5 for a 5/5 is actually really great stats. Second, inability to cast spells basically kills their ability to remove him easily, because nothing they play before turn 5 is going to do it solo. He almost always trades efficiently, and any spell-heavy deck can be anticipated in such a way as to completely screw over their key turn and steal the tempo out from under them. Seriously, it's an amazing card.

Loatheb wins me a lot of games against Miracle. And Mages in general. He's awesome to throw out if only to protect your board from a Flamestrike or your face from a lot of burn.
Name a deck Loatheb is bad against. There literally isn't one, and any deck that relies on spells, i.e. most of them, is going to feel pretty bad when he hits the field.
Every deck plays spells, Loatheb prevents your opponent from using removal for an entire turn and gives you a 5/5 that kills almost every relevant 4/5 drop. If you don't play Loatheb atm your deck is just worse.
wtf. You don't need to use Loatheb and your deck is not "worse" because of it. Stop talking bs pls

warlock zoo / warrior
but yeah loatheb is ridiculously op and should probably be in every deck that isn't extreme aggro since zoo and warrior aren't >50% of the ladder
I think Yeti was dropped in favor of Sen'Jin considering how much ground Zoo has gained with Naxx vs Druid. Unless you're playing with Sunfury Protector, you can't really afford to be without the Taunts in your deck.
Not really sure how this switched to a discussion on Loatheb, the card is obviously ridiculously OP, but he and Yeti aren't exactly on the same curve. I think we can all just expect Loatheb to get the nerf stick at this point, I wouldn't be surprised for Loatheb to get the Sylvannas treatment and bumped to 6 mana at all.

Used to be the be all and end all of 4 drops, now I never see it?

There has been a ton of new 5 drops that are fantastic value and have most likely taken the yetis spot.
Ramp Druids use it when the meta is more control-ish. They usually swap them for Sen'jin when zoo and aggro decks are more commom
I was running it yesterday in a big Ramp Druid deck. Faced 0 Zoolocks in 10 games!
Are you a wizard? I bet you are. I face a zoolock once every three games -_-
EU servers around rank 7.
