So I enjoy playing hunter aggro or mid-range. Between hunter aggro and mid-range druid made it to rank 3 last season. In both of these decks one problem I run into is the deck 'running out of steam' by the time your mana bar is full or before. I've started playing around with throwing in a King Krush and have thought about even a Deathwing. A Hail Mary that people don't expect to close things out. But I'm sure other people have had the same problem and I don't see anyone running these cards.
Thoughts on why having one large 'Panic Button' card doesn't work out in the long run?
Honestly, its a viable inclusion. It just gets so few plays that people generally replace it with stuff that can help earlier. Deathwing in a midrange deck is kinda risky though. Because all of your other cards are pretty valuable.

Because generally speaking having a card in your deck that helps you avoid a "panic button moment" situation is preferable to one that might get you out of it.
OK, So Hearthpwn consensus is King Krush - viable, Deathwing - Just too difficult to fit in. Seems around right to me. The King has a great intro which has a good entertainment factor as well.
Panic Buttons are usually going to be Big Minions, with Big Attacks and Big Health.
BIG
So the Big Game Hunter, Shadow Word: Death, Hunters's Mark, Humility, Hex, Polymorph, Siphon Soul, Corruption, Mind Control, Assassinate...the list goes on. Panic button cards CAN save your ass if they have no counter at hand, but most players will strive to keep something in hand to deal with big drops late game.
Heck, Mind Control can REALLY ruin your day...and it can only be played end-game.
Having Panic Cards is just a disadvantage to you. Players always save 1 or 2 cards as "answers" to when someone plays something that needs to be "answered" immediately. Cards like King Krush although good, are not very viable as you only have the "initial" turn to get any use out of them. Also since King Krush is a "finisher" it actually hurts you more you think. For 1 its 9 Mana Cost just sits in your hand to pretty much the end of the match itself, and secondly there will be few times where the Surprise 8/8 Charge with be Lethal.... Hence a Dead Card. Reason why Leeroy Jenkins is so good is because its an 4 Mana for 6 Damage instantly, thus you still have theoretically 6 more mana to gain lethal at turn 10, instead of using King Krush and only having 1 mana in case you don't have lethal with just the 8 damage. Flexible cards are key.
Well if u play Aggro hunter and it gets to late game it means most likely u have already lost. Mid Range with Savannah highmanes is great though and they sustain u for the late game i feel.

poly, hex, siphon, etc... plus your opponent still has a full hand

King Krush will just sit in your early hand for so many games doing nothing unfortunately. You can do more damage for less mana with other options.
Consistency is king. Card that is decent a majority of the time > card that is great only some of the time.
Sick that I have King Krush but never heard the intro.
