So I've got 2 of these in a couple of packs this week, and decided to finally give it a try. First issue is how to keep it alive for more than 2 triggers, and for that I've decided to build a Priest deck around it. It turned up like this:
Are there other interesting ways that I can take advantage of it? Or is it just not worth playing as a card? Should I use Paladin or Druid instead of Priest?
I've used it in a spell heavy mage deck. When favorable conditions are met it will help you clear the board. It also has the nasty side effect of being useful one turn and onerous the next. I have since then removed it as I found greater value in other cards. You might be onto something playing it with a priest. Continue to explore the possibilities.
Not sure if this would be good or not, but if you combo it with a northshire cleric, you can use circle of healing to heal all the minions on the board and draw a ton of cards.
I've seen it used in a warrior deck in a combo with commanding shout which causes your minions to be unable to be reduced below one health for the rest of your turn. This effectively allows you to clear the board with almost no side effects. Plus, warriors tend to gain a really nice boost when their minions are damaged.
Yes, I think I'm going to use him on a Warrior deck along with Rampage, Battle Rage (Pyromancer doesn't care about the nerf rofl) and Commanding Shout. I'll build the deck later, then I might take this discussion to the Deck Building forums.
Thanks for the feedback guys. If anyone has any other cool ideas on how to take advantage of Pyro (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards), please share with us.
I've only been playing a couple of weeks on the beta but the warrior pyro deck has quickly become my favorite. I love all the combos you can run off of this. Using armorsmith (for massive amounts of armor) or jacking up the attack on a frothing bezerker while you clear the board is awesome. RoninHS did a couple of videos on how to play/construct this deck. I've had pretty good success with it so far, albeit not at the highest competition levels. Enjoy.

It's almost 2 months old. It's been a while since I haven't played these cards.
