Bad stats for the cost and the effect can lose you the game. What the fuck blizzard.
Effect is moderately more likely to win you the game.
Pretty sure if this card cost 4 it would be completely broken and almost every deck would play it.
While less likely to kill itself than Yogg themself, it can still do so or worse. At least it can't kill your hero but it's still very useless.
In case you haven't noticed, this set has started adding an unusually large number of spells that are only good outcomes. Things like Stand Against Darkness. Any secret is also insane, any card draw. There are a lot more good outcomes than bad outcomes.
In case you didn't see Trumps reveal video, he gives some statistics on how likely it is to get good outcomes. These are Trump's own stats.
Blue is very good, Green is good, Yellow is neutral, orange is bad and red is very bad.
yeah i saw Trump reveal it. he did intense analysis and spreadsheets - came up with like 63% of the time it's either ok or good for u. better than it looks.
from the looks of it, its better when theres a board, other wise, on a somewhat empty board, the math is like 50% is bad for you.... so its better if you are playing from behind, which is nice.
then the question is, would you play this over azure drake and etheral conjurer..... that would be debatable
Although Knowledge could be bad if you don't want to overload.
This should work like Yogg-Saron's, so no overload for the player. Therefore, Ancestral Knowledge random will be plain draw 2 as well as Arcane Intellect.

Blizz said the overload thing wasn't concrete. They still deciding if it should or not add overload.
Disappointing to be honest. Certainly seems Blizz want to make Casino mage a thing. I guess it will be fun and make some great highlight vids but for competitive play it is pretty lame.
I think this card is quite good, actually. If it casts any of the draw card spells (Shield Block, Flare, Battle Rage, Commanding Shout, Call Pet, Divine Favor, Ancestral Knowledge, Arcane Intellect, Thought Steal, Fan of Knives, Burgle, Mass Dispel, Solemn Vigil, Nourish) it's very strong. If it casts a secret, it's better than Mad Scientist, even an average Paladin secret will still be decent value. Then of course there's the well-timed AoE. The backfire potential is there (Astral Communion, kills itself with a damage spell, deals damage to your face, heals your opponent, buffs an enemy minion, etc.) but if you're willing to ride the RNG rollercoaster I think this will payoff big time in the long-run.
But honestly, I'd play this card for the salt value, alone.
this is even shittier than Faceless Summoner and this is a rare, but still better than every single card for preist reveal so far, even than stupid new legendary volaz!!! WTF

Faceless Summoner is of great synergy for decks such as druid or shaman to buff minions all together. also gets u more board control when facing pals, shaman, zoolock, that even piloted shredder cannot since it only gets one single minion in play

There is a lot of steak here...
Imagine you put this one on board against full Board Zoo, he cast Brawl, and he win.. haha Top 3 century hearthstone video
Brokeback mage with Yogg-Saron, Hope's End...
and also Cabalist's Tome...
Let the CASINO begin !!
S U P E R !!
Why don't we just add 30 cards to a deck. Let the game draw and play them for you and let us see what happens?
It's all random anyway
Blizzard: "The reasoning behind this card is simple - if Yogg-Saron fails to kill you or heal your opponent, you get another chance to try"

Meh card
Roses are red,
violets are blue,
I'm not good at poetry
microwaves
hmm i dont like that rng style. but maybe not too bad after all
I don't think of this as a bad card, not by a long shot...sure, it may be clunky and random, but that doesn't mean we can't have some fun with it :D
8/10
decent stats, nice artwork, volatile ability

Too fun to ignore!
Why has no one put the source reveal from Trump?
5 cost mana spell
5 mana to have it fireball itself in the face. Seems decent.
