Finally we are able to cast Shield Slam on our own face.
Shield Slam only works on a minion, so in order for that to happen you need to:
(a) have Yogg choose a Shield Slam out of 224 spells (with the coming expansion it will be something like 250),
(b) have your opponent be a Warlock and play a Wrathguard (easy, everyone plays him) and have Sylvanas steal him, or somehow have him randomly summoned to your side,
(c) have Yogg specifically choose him out of all minions on the board and cast it,
(d) under the assumption that he doesn't kill you or kill/polymorph/hex/ nether-ise the minion beforehand.
Yep, I can totally see that happening...
I think this can target whatever he wants, similar to killing Spellbender with SW:D.
No, all of Yogg spells "follow the rules." They can't target things that they otherwise wouldn't be able to.
For instance, if you have a 7 spell yogg and the first spell is SW:D and there are no 5 attack or higher minions on the board, the spell will "fizzle" and not cast. You then have 6 spells left in the battlecry.

Well actually you're wrong about the last part. SW:D would kill Yogg. The spells, however, would continue to be cast.
Randomness aside the animations for this card are going to to take an offensively long time. I imagine if you wait until last second on your turn to play it you could take up a good chunk of your opponents turn.
This is the funniest and worst god of the 4. I don't think he will be played in serious ladder because he doesn't combo with antonidas, flamewaker, etc. And other gods are 100 way better to play, no place for him. That's sad, i like the design :(
all of you who say this card cant be played, be a little careful of what youre saying cause you dont know how will things evolve. people did the same for dr boom and mysterious challenger
Do cards like Dark Bargain even incure the card loss penalty in the first place when played by Yogg-Saron ? I mean Yogg-Saron casts the spell not the hero.
I think 56 pages of discussion here shows one thing. This card accomplished exactly what the designers wanted. To get people talking and excited about the expansion. Whether the card is any good is of secondary consideration.
The only decks I could see this getting played in is some kind of freeze mage variant or someone that wants a laugh and doesn't really care whether they win or lose.
I keep Confessor Paletress in my priest deck because I like her and she puts out two big threats for one card more often than not (plus she's a shiny golden card), but I acknowledge that she probably isn't the best use I could put that card slot to. This guy ramps that choice up to 11.
People still don't seem to realize the purpose of this card. It's a last resort card, you use it if you are losing and has no chance of comeback by the usual methods, a strictly "bet your life on it" card.
But is it possible to kills both player with 6 Pyroblast? Or if it hits a 2 health hero with Frostbolt, does the hero die at that time or does the next heal spell like Holy Light heals him.

Wow. Just wow.
Why so serious? guys chill out its all good.
every card have to fit a meta climbing deck? can't they put cards that are just fun?
this card is freaking awesome!! would it see competitive ranked play, I doubt it.
but its going to be fun, its going to be great. this new level of RNG is great.
don't be too serious!!
S A D B O Y S WORST CARD EVER.
Fun decks only - no way will this fit into competitive play decks. So feels more like a novelty card and a wasted opportunity to me.
This set is just full of so much Rng..... :(

100% guaranteed someone hits legend with a Yogg-Saron deck and proves all you naysayers wrong.

My bet is this card is too random to see competitive play. But sure as hell its a fun card
