Anyone doubting this card needs to take a look at Truesilver. This is very effective turn 4 removal, plus the opportunity to combo off with a range of warrior staples.
And kill others. I'd be happier if my opponent couldn't chose to trigger something that's supposedly my aoe.
That said, I very much expect to start seeing Darkscale Healers in more Warrior Rage decks now that you can more easily re-establish a state of rage on the turn you play the healer.

You're the one who times the playing of the axe so you should be setting it up so that triggering it is in your favor, but yes it is a skill-intensive card that opens up opportunities on both sides to use it well. I do like the healer combination, might try it out, my enrage minions are always on too low a health...
Yes and no - the only way to trigger it on the turn you play it is to play two weapons in a single turn, which is quite the expensive proposition.
If you don't, the Oozes and Harrison Jones can set it off prematurely. (As can Bloodsail Corsair, which will probably become more popular if Death's Bite becomes as frequently played as some folks in this thread suppose).
People who compare it to truesilver forget that truesilver is a paladin's only "real weapon". Every warrior is already running 2 x Fiery War Axe (and I don't think Death's Bite can replace it), so adding extra weapons is more awkward. That being said I think it's a solid card that's better than arcanite reaper and it will probably see play. Anyway, making predictions without knowing the whole spoiler is a fool's errand.

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.
Here is a future thought/idea. What if blizzard is going to allow you to equip two weapons? Like with a titans grip esk card. allow you to swing with both, but both take durability loss at the same time. Or maybe a card that lets you "throw" your weapon like the other ability that warriors have in wow. You have to remember Blizzard is going to be adding as much of WoW to this game as possible. So this card might be meh like so many are saying it is, but imagine playing Deaths bites turn 4 and swing, turn 5 titans grip equip fiery war axe, swing and pop deaths grip, 7 damage from weapons + 1 from Death rattle leaving you with a fiery war axe for the next turn. It is just an idea, but really it is totally possible we will see these types of mechanics in the game.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the changes this will add to arena. I don't know about others, but if I do an arena run as a warrior, and am not offered any weapons, it almost feels like it will end in a low end loss with very tough wins. Weapons give that charge-burst creature removal that is so important. And without that the class there is very weak. This card is apparently common, which to me means a much higher chance of drafting a weapon or two. And with a built in whirlwind, I can see it being very strong in that format just for extra damage.
Then again, it could be really bad in that too, accidentally killing your own normal minions with it if it gets oozed.

I think it`s above average for arena. While in constructed you can possibly do nasty things using it's deathrattle, in arena you are probably shooting your own foot. Don't get me wrong, it's a strong 4 cost card but doing 1 damage to everything can put your own minions into AOE range such as Flamestrike, Holy Nova etc etc etc.
This is probably the best class card I have seen so far, it has amazing synergy with warrior and even without the synergy it is a solid weapon. Even if it gets oozed or Jones'd it still gets off a 1 damage AOE. Its second strike is more like a 5 Damage hit since once it blows it you get the AOE. Just great combo's and deck set ups with this one. I think Aggro Death Rattle Warrior will be powerful force once these cards come out.

Yes I do up vote everyone who post in my threads as a thanx for taking the time to look at and comment on my post.
I was thinking it could be a card for the Deathknight hero class, since the border looks sort of Deathknight-ish, and it would make sense to introduce it now considering the whole expansion is all about death.
EDIT: Upon closer inspection every weapon has the same border, I'm dumb.
While blizzard has stated that they are planning on eventually adding the deathknight class, I can guarantee you that it will be several years before they do. And once they do move forward with those plans, we are going to be hearing about it non-stop for at least 6 months before it actually hits. They will hype it to death. (no pun intended)
But seriously, deathknight (and maybe monk) won't be showing their faces around the hearthstone table for several years. Don't start waiting for then now.
Lol filling a gap? It is like whirwilwind exept combined into a weapon, and why is whirwelwind good on warriot? Oh right all the enrages and accoylite and armor smith, execute AND it is a 4/2 sword which is quite good in itself (if you listen to pros they say truesilver is good not because of the heal but because a 4/2 sworrd is so good).

Honestly, I am still unimpressed by the card, but I do think it's going to be better than I originally believed because there are a couple of other things going on during Naxx that I had been unaware of when I first formed my opinion.
1) Rush Hunter is back. Whirlwind effects are great at containing rush Hunter.
2) There are a ton of good new neutral 5-drops that will probably help Control more than the Arcanite Reaper (including some that the Arcanite Reaper can't kill... Death's Bite can't kill them either, but has been mentioned previously, there is a value in options).

So we should just throw away arcanite reaper then, right? Not like anyone used it anyway, but still..

But as @honj90 said
This card is kinda broken if you think about it. Imagine this in a control warrior deck.
At least it can't trigger Nerubian Egg on it's own.
Unless explicitly stated, my posts are my opinion and mine only.
no but I can link of a few combo plays that could using a the old pyrosmith deck

^This... You can set up to buff Grommash Hellscream on turn 8, without having to wait until turn 9 to play him and then a Whirlwind to enrage.
