Reno decks. Almost every player in Hearthstone heard about them because they are unique, expensive and rewarding decks to play. If we think about all 5 of competitive or semi-competitive classes that use Reno efficiently, then 4 out of 5 have established builds that are considered to be the best. Renolock has Demon package and Dethrattle package. Priest has OTK your ass or Outcontrol your ass package. Hunter has Deathrattle package and DK Rexxar on top. Shaman is kind of value machine with Hagatha and Icandoanything Shudderwock. But what about Reno Mage? In powerlevel of Reno decks, it can be considered to be the 3rd strongest one right after other 2 Kabal classes. But what build is considered to be that powerfull? What is the established build of Reno Mage? The only thing that all Reno Mages have in common is DK Jaina,Reno and Kazakus. So lets disccuss what you consider to be the established build:
I think that my favorite thing about reno decks, is the uniqueness of them. There are quite literally so many more combinations that can't even begin to know. My favorite part of Reno is just how unique it can feel. With the upcoming expansion I will be glad to try and make myself a Reno paladin as well, and see how well that does. Eventually I would love to try and make a viable deck for every class.
If I had to hazard a guess, I would say it depends on the meta doesn't it?

Im not denying the variety part and Im also experimenting with Reno in other classses as well. Mine question is what Reno Mage can be considered to be established enough to be the core/best build. Renolock for example always have Demon package,Hunter always have Deathrattle one and so on. What is the core/established build of Reno Mage?

I follow your decks a lot, and usually try out the ones I can. Have you wondered about something like what Apolzonian recommended? Some type of combo priest? I have long thought about the effects of Luna's Pocket Galaxy, and (I'm far from a good wild player) Wondered if perhaps it would be good in some sort of Reno mage combo deck (or heck maybe Reno Mage minion deck?)

The problem with the suggested decks is lack of card draw. And you need card draw in order to compete with Warlocks and Druids card draw, or early value generation trough Burgle cards in Odd Rogue.Otherwise you cant find the answers and you are dead. Lunas Pocket Galaxy saw some experimentation, the problem is, that Even with that 8 mana Kobold the deck lacks consistency and loses to more powerfull Control,Combo and Aggro decks. I personally tried this Mage legendary spell in Reno Mage based around some burn comboes and Nzoth. I had 3-17 losing streak even against the meme decks.
Sometimes, I am filling all of my deck slots with only 1 class decks like 18 Rogue decks, 18 Warrior decks etc. They all are homebrew decks around my current collection.
When I did this for mage, Reno Mage combinations fill my 10+ slots. There are so much posibilites and every of them is effective and fun to play. I don't think a single Reno Mage build is the most effective. All are effective in different matchups.
So it is about your taste. You don't have to grind with a single deck.
When I did that kind of playing experience I have set a rule for me. I am suggesting you to do that, it is funny.
Make a bunch of Reno Mages that you really enjoy to play. The rule is changing the deck after getting 3 losses with it. I won't suggest a Reno Mage deck but will give an example.
1. N'zoth Reno Mage. After 3 loss change it 2. Wannabe Reno Mage. After 3 loss change it 3. Elemental Reno Mage. After 3 loss change it
I've found the game is more fun when you set little rules for you. I feel bored to play the same deck always like grinding all the day with a N'zoth Reno Mage. so it is your taste but you can give my rule a try if you can't really decide which combination is more powerful. :)
I don't really understand why you people trying to find "The most powerful of X deck." It is not funny in my opinion.

Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
Whenever I play Reno Mage I always go for an out-value your opponent kind of build because Jains DK allows for a long lasting amount of health regain. Baleful Banker and Zola are usually Included.
My two cents, I play Reno mage marginally. Funnily enough in my build I use 2 ice block (the only secret) and arconologist/mad scientist allow singleton consistency.
Also I tend toward a big spell build with Alanna as win condition.
Also have played with more minions and Luna pocket Galaxy. Not really viable though but really fun!!

I dont think Pocket Galaxy can work, u cant skip a whole turn that late in the game, and against most decks u will need to hold back with your cards so u have refill, so unless u can combo cards playing alot of minions in 1 turn isnt that great. I aggre that reno mage will have a hard time being top tir without tons of draw. Maybe there can be room for more draw in the list i posted? I also think trying nzoth wont play to mages strengths and other reno decks can make nzoth work better. Therefore i like the burn plan
The list that youve posted want to focus on immediate inpact and not grind one. Your wincondition is to burn opponent down. So I would suggect - Lich King for some draw or Tech card, or AOE like Volcanic potion or Explosive Sheep. and - Manic Soulcaster and +Zola in order to have access to the minion immediatelly.

No one is taking the deckbuilding happiness and playing. All my decks that I play are built purely by myself. What I want to discuss is the core build of Reno Mage. Because as I said in the first post, every other Reno deck has its core build that is considered to be the best. All but Reno Mage. And thats kinda interesting topic to discuss)

and yes you've missed what I said there.
There is not a "core" build for Reno Mage. Some combinations good against Aggro, Some are good against Combo. So like i said above, It is about your taste of play. If you want to be dominant against control, You can build a combo-like Reno Mage with quest or something like that. If you want to be dominant against Aggro, You can build a Control Reno Mage. It is up to you. I have just wanted to say;
"Why not build all of them and cycle when you bored to play"...
It was not about deckbuilding happiness and playing. Posibilites of Highlander Mage are huge. I wanted to suggest a different way to play and you are flaming me like hell.
Ok, Good luck with your seeking of the BEST BUILD of the Reno Mage. Unfortunately, You can never find that !

My question is is Kazakus 100% needed? Only card I dont have. If not, what would a good replacement be?
There is no good replacement of Kazakus unfortunately but Reno mage can work without it. There is no card that has a value like Kazakus for mage.
I can only compare it with Deathstalker Rexxar. (a big LOL)
