WHAAAATTTT!!??!! You're in beta and you don't know all the cards by heart by now? Ha jk yea, that's always the best part about draft (arena) in TCG's see card's you didn't even know that existed (because no one uses them) and you use cards you wouldn't normally use. It's one of the reasons I always love doing stuff like that.
5-3 as druid, So had to pay one fee but since then it's been 7-9 wins, worst was a 2-3, the rng gods of drafting decided to take a dump on me xD
My only background was countless hours(and I do mean countless..) of watching twitch and finding the good players, which ended up being Trump only. The rest does a lot of miss plays some less but Trump the least so stuck with his stream.
Got a rogue first time in the arena. Ended up going 5-3 with a so-so deck. It was fun! I'm hoping that once I feel comfortable with the different classes I will be able to sustain myself through arena with the gold I win. We'll see though.
First time Arena was a great 0-3 success for me :/
Chose warlock, got some class-specific cards to draft first 5 and took them, to build around. But after that, got only crap which didn't work out. Lost pretty fast turn 7/8.
Afterwards I switched priorities during Arena draft, which helped me a lot.
Personal (excel) statistics tell me around 7 wins before a loose 3 times, but had several 9ers already, and 0/1-3 still happens. Luck of the draw ;)

Hehe it's always different when you're the one actually playing. Plus they have a lot of expereince now with the game and you were just watching and had not actually played arena before then so that makes a big difference more then you think.
Plus Trump/Kripp were terrible when they first started doing arena. I watched that and they were going anywhere form 1-3 to 4-3.
You do learn a lot by watching them if you're actually paying attention. Kripp thinks a bit short tho so missplays happen, Trump doesn't say too much so you need to pay attention to understand his choices.
Yea, I know. They have brought up a lot of good points and good combos that I never thought about. I was only saying it's always a little rough starting out in arena and playing is always different then watching.
I also like how they are doing their little combined thought parts (even though most people hate when they do that). I hope I will be able to do that with someone.

Almost the exact same for me. Most of mine are 7-9 wins and my worst was 2-3. I just got the WORST luck and RNGesus hated me in that draft. I went up against a few T1 Ringleaders with only 4-drops in hand after mulling Q_Q Such is life. Ya can't win 'em all. My other worst was my attempt at a priest for fun, went 4-3 :P
Still doing my first arena actually. xD I don't want to spend real money on Arena entries, and spending gold is also not a very good idea as long as I'm still getting a feel for tempo and how to turn card/mana advantage into wins, and ESPECIALLY while I'm still learning how to correctly build decks with random cards.
So I decided to make my first (free!) Arena entry last more then just an hour or 2. I spread out my Hero choice over 2 days, then my card selections took another 2 days, then the day after that I played my first game. I spread playing in Arena out over a whole week, picking a day here and there to do 1 match. Then I found myself at 2-2, and I felt like I should make an effort to play more as a Mage in my normal deck, and get a better feel for what Mages can do, to make the absolute most out of my possibly last match. And that's where I still am. :P
Not gotten around to playing my Mage deck much, since I like all the Heroes to a degree, and am mostly just constantly switching Heroes and switching decks. So my plan to get better at Mage playing is going slowly. I'll likely just play the last of my Arena at some point if I feel like doing the Arena fresh, now I know more about the game, and how to play.
It's been a fun experience though, and I'm sure I'll play more Arena once I feel more secure in my ability to make decks and play different styles. :)

I picked a rogue and managed to go 8-3. I started off 2-2. I think this was mostly luck. I had watched a fair amount of streams of people doing mostly arena, and it helped to get a rogue with two headcracks and two twilight drakes. I was super pumped and did another arena right afterward, went 3-3 with a druid... Since then I've gone 3-3 (after a 3-0 start), 4-3 and 6-3 (after a 6-0 start; that one hurt). Needless to say I have some more to learn about arena.
My first arena (and so far only one) went horrible to say the least! I picked druid, since I kinda like the druid's versatility. Got absolutely horrible cards and ended up with a very very weird deck. Ended with 3 loss in a row =/
I hope they increase the gold from winning and quests, as it is now you kinda have to pay to enter the arena. Or grind all day and hope you get many easy wins.
Sadly I don't remember what my first arena was like I have played so many, I do remember what my first grand master was though because it was nerve wracking. I was a rogue and went 2-2 all the way to 9-2. That was really fun but Ive done it quite a few times since then so it is starting to lose its luster, although it is still good to do.
I went 7-3 as a Mage, had a pretty decent draft from what I remember (But then again, how can you NOT get a good mage deck? Seriously so many options). Two Cone of Colds, Geomancer, Two Flamestrikes, Fireball, Sunwalker, Two Polymorphs.
3-3 on Druid shortly after, drafted too many small creatures >:
my first arena was glorious 7/3 with mage got archmage antonidas, strange 50 or more arena runs later didn't get single legendary yet top 2 epics in deck.
With the wipe coming, my arena season was an interesting one. For the most part (non-recorded) I averaged 5 wins each time with each hero, the exception being the priest, with which I went 2-3, 3-3 twice, and 4-3.
When I did videos of the runs though, It was pretty much 3-3 over and over again with the exception of the hunter that took me to 6-3.
But I've improved a lot, especially in regards to drafting...and its fun!
Did 3 arenas. First one was a 6-3 with Rexxar, then a 3-3 with Gul'dan, and then a 2-3 with Garrosh. Got better rewards from the 2-3 and 3-3 than the 6-3 though
this should be fun..
How was your first arena ''season'' ? how many win/lose ? Which class did you play ? Did you have experience to Card games before ?
Personally I went 2-3 as a shaman. Took me a while to know the cards.

Trump/Kripp make arena look so easy...

You're not going crazy, I edit 2~3 times each post
my first arena was glorious 7/3 with mage got archmage antonidas, strange 50 or more arena runs later didn't get single legendary yet top 2 epics in deck.
Tried out a warlock, as it's the deck I had most experience with. It went pretty lacklustre, 2-3 if i recall.
Had 5 soulfires, very niche, but hillarious when I got them off.

I went 8-3 my first run as a mage, I thought "heh, this is pretty easy". But I'd say my average has been 5 wins or so all around.
I heal people to death
Did 3 arenas. First one was a 6-3 with Rexxar, then a 3-3 with Gul'dan, and then a 2-3 with Garrosh. Got better rewards from the 2-3 and 3-3 than the 6-3 though
First Arena went 0-3 as a druid. I got no Innervates, wild growths or nourishes in my draft, so I was kinda hurting.
2nd Arena, went 6-3 as a mage, all 3 loses came to rogue decks.
3rd Arena, went 3-3 as a mage.
4th Arena, went 1-3 as a priest. I thought I had a good deck after my first game (very quick win).. then I got absolutely dominated.
Oh well, live and learn. Tonight after the wipe I'll be trying for more arena's with all my gold!
