Did anyone else notice an insane shift in power level in the arena since the dual class arena event has ended? Before the event the classes could have been micro adjusted better, but overall I think the arena was in a good state. Now it seems as if the power level for before the Witchwood, the one where it almost feels like constructed, is back again. Maybe you don't notice anything, so to show you why I'm worried, this deck: https: //www.heartharena.com/arena-run/s00606 (74.9 score) went only 4-3 facing even better decks. And just now I drafted a 71.4 rogue deck, where previously a 68 rogue deck use to be really good already, whilst now I'm not convinced it will go past 5 wins.
I really hope this is all coincidental, but I'm afraid it is not.
Warrior, priest, Shaman deck scores are usually 70+ so your 74 point warrior while high, is not abnormal. Also deck score is not a good indicator of how good a deck is, just the quality of individual cards as presented by Heartharenas deck making algorithm. Your Rogue draft is a lucky draft at 70+. I've done a bunch of Rogues since the month start and they've all been in the mid 60s as per normal.
The rogue deck ended up with 3 wins. All loses were against warriors who seemed to have the perfect answers every time. Drafted another rogue this time around. It has 3 weapon removals so although the deck score is lower I expect it to perform a lot better against those annoying warriors. Bring em up, I'd say!
I agree. I got unlucky in the run I mentioned in the first post of this thread, but overall the match-ups feel fair (I pick the better classes of course), except when I'm facing a warrior. Nowadays they have so many different forms of removal and whatever you do you're always playing into one of them. Removals are usually in the higher buckets, hence warriors got a lot of them. It's a Russian roulette.
