Are any of you? This brawl completely does away with any skill at all, just completely luck based.
Opponent turn 1 Confessor Paletress, turn 2 summons Kel'Thuzad and a zero mana Rag. Concede. Even wins don't feel good. I don't feel like I outplayed my opponent, they just got beat by RNG.
Most of these brawls I either love or hate. Hasn't really been much middle ground for me. Anyway, tell me your thoughts on this brawl.
Does it really matter? Its meant to be fun, you get a free pack and you get to experience a new side of hearthstone tailor made for the community.

Not complaining. Simply asking to see if people like games with lots of RNG or if they would prefer less, and giving my own opinion. Curious about other players in the community.
"Does it really matter?"... stupid question. You're on a community site. If it doesn't matter, why the hell are you here?

Does it really matter since it is free content that was never meant to be there in the first place? Its like complaining over youtube videos, which are also free.
Its fine if you dont like it, im just saying there is no need to complain about something that has no affect on the game other than giving you a free pack
Strangely enough, I like it. It is a good way to grind out quick games without having to think. Just play the best cards on the curve it gives you. Kind of mindless grinding that's different each time. Good for me being sick and not having much mental energy at the moment.
I don't feel too many games have really been about turn 1 BS. Because often you get some equal BS to slam down early and the game isn't really over until you were near topdeck anyway. Still super RNG but more about what you draw than what gets discounted on a particular turn.
I also think its a vast improvement over pure "crossroads", because there you would be wrecked by having a bunch of big drops early on. Randomly produced decks have a much higher curve than most arena decks would tolerate, making this "mana screw" way more common and deciding games in a less entertaining way than watching the big guys jump in early.
I didn't expect to like it, but I actually do. Agreed that it's very RNG, but games are really quick, so it's great for finishing daily quests, way more fun than grinding on the ladder for that.

I respectfully disagree. If the Randomonium could be made into a more engaging experience that allows you to make decisions beyond hoping to draw a bigger card with a lower cost than your opponent, it actually might be more fun, while still keeping the insanely whacky experience of big minions popping out everywhere. I think there's plenty of room for keeping the crazy concept and still improving on the actual fun of it.
If something can potentially be improved, why not at least try to discuss how it can be? It's not the matter that it is free so much as the fact that it could "possibly" be done better. Whether it could actually be done better is not necessarily up to me or you or anyone else to say, but leaving potential ideas for improvement in a public forum is a good way to find out -- the masses will naturally stick to what they find fun, or good.
Bottom line is, it's cool that you disagree, but I don't see a need to tell him that he shouldn't have even posted in the first place. His opinion is just as valuable as yours is.
definitely helpful in getting some quests done. I really don't understand people complaining though, it's fun and we get a free pack out of it. no one is forcing anyone to play it.

It's not about being forced to play it, it's a matter of looking for potential improvements. By that logic we could say that no one is forced to play all of Hearthstone at all (Which is true - anyone could stop playing it and play another card or online game), so therefore it is perfect and never ever needs improvement.
That said, I had some fun moments in the Brawl too, and I'm glad you enjoyed it -- I just wonder if it could be even MORE fun. That's what good game design is about, right? Making it in such a way that it's as fun as possible.
So as of now, about 2/3 are enjoying the brawl vs about 1/3 not enjoying it. I was definitely expecting different results. It's cool to see how many more enjoy it, glad you're all having fun.

Keeping in mind the fun factor, I think i like all the shenaningans that this Tavern Brawl brings with it

It's the worst POS brawl to date. Got my pack. See you next week, brawl.

you're totally right, it could always be made better or more fun. I was just referring to the outright complaints. but you're right, friend.
I played once and got my pack. Ruled the board with an Acidmaw. I was thinking to myself, "If it gets out of hand, I can always drop this Dreadscale."
Can't imagine any other context / format where any of that would happen, so yeah it was fun.
so much fun
