Hello, everyone. I am a casual player, always got stucked at rank 5 and I never made a way to legend. I mean, how can I know what am i doing wrong? I watch videos and streams but I am not feeling that I am improving at the game, so there is some advice to improve my gameplay?
My advice is dont stress out about it. Keep trying to improve, and dont let the individual wins or losses get to you. If you improve enough you'll get there eventually. Your rank is just an arbitrary number that nobody except you cares about, so it's never worth stressing over. Grinding for hours is not fun. If you get frustrated, take a break.
For gameplay, on any given turn ask yourself: "What is my opponent's deck likely to do next turn? How do I make that play as bad for them as possible? Can I set up to punish them?" For example, say you're playing reno mage. Into turn 6 you should be trying to put more than 10 health into play so reno won't clear. They want to play Luna's Pocket Galaxy as soon as possible so you should try and pressure them so they cant afford to. Sometimes you won't be able to because you just didn't draw well enough. That's fine, just play your best and if it doesn't work move on to the next game and keep trying your best.
This question seems to get asked once every few weeks on the forums. Inevitably you get people providing actually constructive advice, then you have others that say you just need a 51 percent WR, and then you get the people that say it's pure luck with no skill involved and you just need to mindlessly spam que with t1 decks until you magically hit legend.
My advice: listen to the people that provide information that you can act on and use common sense. Breakfast pretty much hit it on the nose when he said you need to stay calm and keep an analytical frame of mind. If you don't get tilted you will inevitably make sounder decisions, and if you think things through before you do them you will make even more sound decisions. Remember that legend is a grind; it doesn't have to be a sprint. Set realistic goals for where you want to be each day (I.E. if you're rank 5 3 stars, you want rank 4 1 star) and proceed with said approach. Try to stick with 1 or 2 decks max (but preferably 1) during your climb. You don't want to have to learn how to play an entirely new archetype well in the middle of your climb. Of course, you should make sure that the deck you're using is legend-capable before you attempt to use it to get there. Best of luck.
Just pick the strongest face deck. When you are playing, rope every turn to demoralize your opponent. Add in a few emotes also
lol

Learn what the metagame looks like. Use the community sites to figure out what decks exist in the rank 5 - legend brackets and make smart decisions on what deck to play based on that information.
Have a gameplan against all the decks in the meta, figure out how your chosen deck can win against the other decks in the metagame. This will give you insight in how to mulligan also.
Make it your goal to reach legend. Set alot of time apart to reach your goal and start as early in the month as you can. This will help not feeling frustrated if you are on a losing streak.
Enjoy the journey. Focus on each individual game and try to learn something from every game. This wil make each game meaningfull and fun
I haven't reached legend before and I don't want to get there right now.. but from my point of view.. I advice you to enjoy it.. Just enjoy the process and you will reach there.. If you're trying so hard you will end up stressing yourself and that will affect the majority of your play.. So learn more and enjoy..

Exactly... Don't waste your time trying to get Legend when you can take part in a scam!
This guy makes makes $12k a month, and still has time to masturbate to pictures of barnyard animals every 2-3 hours!
I can only speak for myself, but I’ve also been a casual since beta and I did hit legend 2019 with an off-meta deck reborn paladin (September 2019) It could get lucky against fast decks and it totaly destroyed control war that was its best matchup. I did it on the last day of season when lots of ppl try a last desperate climb with fast decks and others try it by countering them. Anyway that last evening I played like 16-2 and made it from like rank 3 two star or smt like that. So you don’t always need shitloads of games A certain month to make it. If you have a shitload of expirience and games over a longer time that helps you to find the right deck, play according to its strategy and optimizing plays/mulligans against different decks. I’d say its rly hard to hit legend if you only play a certain type of deck (control, aggro so forth) as you will need an better understanding of how decks play out against different strats so that you can make better decisions. Like if a control deck you know well would always seek out a certain play turn 5 if possible and you play around it and then he does an akward play as he doesn’t have the nuts. Do you now decide to take the window of opportunity and close the game as fast as possibly or do you continue to play around and risk loosing the whole game by giving more time for your opponent to find the answer that they are looking for? And this in a case that you could also try to push a safer mid game play as your hand and board are at a good state. But a fe of his perfect top decks could in the worst case steal an “almost certain win”
I find that having knowledge of all the decks in the meta is key for me so i try and play each deck i will likely encounter on the ladder until i have a good feel for the tempo and win conditions each is looking for. Then finding the deck that i feel most comfortable with and playing it until i reach my goal or feel i have hit a wall then moving onto a different deck that might work better at that rank and i am comfortable playing.
Also, stay chill when you lose. Even the best players lose a lot of games its part of Hearthstone

You just have to play a deck with >50% winrate A LOT, and then you will get to it
Casual >< Play A LOT... There is your problem...

Thank you, I will keep it in mind

Don't stick with one deck. If you are only playing with one and getting hammered, take a pause and try other hero
The biggest thing to consider is the time... Any legend players that say they dont play at least 120 hours a month are lying
You need over 50% win rate and play a lot of hours

The only real answer is to play the biggest cancer aggro net deck to cheese as much wins as possible.
This is the wrong game bro lol

Really not true, you dont need that much time, from rank 5 to legend is reasonable to spend~ 40 hours
