I was playing spiteful priest today and got a Disciple of Cthun from crystaline oracle and then used it. Later, I played a Spiteful Summoner and summoned a C'thun with 2/2 buff on it from the Disciple played two turns earlier.
Nah just a cool c'thun interaction since it says any buff that happened this game would affect any c'thun you play or get like when you use a doomcaller to add a copy to your deck, it still has the buff but its not the original

Kobolds are almost as bad as goblins, they gotta die (⌐■_■)–︻╦╤─
Damn that's messed up, I thought the buffs could only be applied to C'thun if he is actually in your deck. I wonder if it also works when summoning C'thun from Free From Amber?
I think it is suppoused to work like that. It is not shown on the game as you dont have cthun on your deck. Also happens if you steal anotherguy's cthun. He gets your buffs
Yeah, because the buffs attach to your hero, not to your c'thun. This means - if you don't run C'thun in your C'thun deck, once you buff him two times, other minions will start to trigger (the 7 mana taunt legendary, the 7 mana warrior armor granting minion etc etc). Once again this shows, that you don't have to have a C'thun in the first place.
It is intended. When you buff C'thun, even if he isn't initially in your deck, he gets buffed. So when you play C'thun by an outside means, any buffs you have generated for C'thun is placed on him.
EDIT: Answer was stated numerous times before my post. That's what I get for leaving a topic up on my screen and coming back to reply to it 10 minutes later :P.

It might be a real thing even tho you dont have cthun in deck

You can even play a C'thunless C'thun deck with Twin Emperor Vek'lor or other cards that need C'thun to be buffed. It will work.

The C'thun buffs do say "Wherever it is" on them. I guess that includes whatever alternate plane of existence Spiteful Summoner summons from.
My hobbies include: bringing life and light, getting everybody in here, and hunting alone
