Try to get the treasure that reduces your cards' costs whenever you use his hero power. i pulled it after the first boss and it definitely helps to play a faster playstyle.
Also, you're not guaranteed to face the Forlorn Lovers. You've actually got better odds than you would in the Dungeon Run, since there are eight final bosses instead of the five from KnC.

On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?
Took me 1.5 days to finish Monster hunt. I think it was around 4 or 5 days for my Dungeon Run first full completion.
Monster Hunt feels a little more highroll-y than Dungeons. I'm not saying Dungeons didn't have highroll because it definitely did, but with Monster Hunt it feels like you get punished harder if you don't get certain buckets. Almost like certain bosses are instalose if you don't draft the right cards/passives and don't draw them in your opening hand - but that's just the feeling I get after this last day or two.
Loved Darius Cannons, really fun style of deck to play. Enjoyed the upgrading aspect of the cannons.
It is easier to some degree - Tess is really easy, Darius is somewhat also easy, Shaw was really hard for me (5 tries) and Tinker was medium (2 tries). The Final challenge was waay too easy didn't struggle at any point.
I wish this was the case. I beat it yesterday in about two hours, whereas it took me a solid month of on and off playing to beat kobolds and catacombs. Makes me rather sad, honestly.
beat Tess on second try, Shaw on first, but I haven't been able to do much with Darius Crowley...his playstyle is so incredibly slow and the fact that you're up agianst the Forlorn lovers as the alst boss doesn't help either
my last boss as darius was godfrey, beat him on the first try. felt kinda stupid having to play two more games with him afterwards just for the pack quest
ragequitted shaw after two games because his heropower is shit compared to tess and crowley and the deck did not feel fun
I thnik there is a lot of self-selection. If 90% of people like you and me never get past 4-7, they won't go on forums much to state this. Not something you'd be proud of.
OTOH the 10% of those who luck through and beat at first attempt feel it's of course all down to their superior skill, they'll come here and be all smug about it.
To me it feels like walking through a minefield, there's a lot of 'hoser' bosses. And of course if you just walk through a minefiled without stepping on anything you're gonna be like "what's all the fuss about"?
edit: no idea why this is not attached to the post I replied to :/
I've not beaten any yet but have reached the final boss with all barring Tess. For whatever reason she's proving rather problematic for me to go beyond the first few monsters.

i had the same issue. i beat tess by going double entrenchment and all secret hunter cards lol
I think its easier if you understand how to play properly the hero you are using and what treasure to take.. for dungeon run you always chose the well known op archetype for the class you are playing, here the same but you have to figure it out
However some early enemies (like the piper) are very hard to win against, but from the other side some final boss are a bit too easy (i beat toki from the future at the first attempt and hagatha at the second)

Honestly 3 out of 4 are fair stuff. They are much more balanced than dungeon final bosses.
Glinda however is complete utter bullshit. I have racked up my brain trying to think ways of beating her and all I managed to think up was "Luck Out". This boss has all the answers, is immune for the majority of game, is immune to fatigue, has super cheap minions for outrageous states that both recycle and help her against fatigue, also has twisting nether.
The only boss who can top this one is Toggwaggle at his worst.
The rest of the bosses have varying power levels, but they are easier than dungeon bosses on average. Keyword: Average. Some of them are plain outright busted.
Glinda was by far the easiest final boss to beat. I played her as the Houndmaster with two copies of the +2 health treasure and a lot of minion-spawning deathrattles. The thing to remember is that she's not immune to fatigue, since her minions draw her a card before they return to her deck, so when you kill off the last one each turn, she'll take a hit if she's out of cards. It's not perfect- i had her up past 10 fatigue when i finally won and she actually ate maybe four of them- but its possible to grind her down that way. Throw in a couple of taunt minions to pair with the treasures and you should be able to pull it off.

I have completed the original dungeon run with all classes. None of them took me more then 3 runs, but this I just can't beat with the houndmaster. I have now failed 10 times and fought the final boss 2 times. Both times I didn't have any chance of winning.

As for now, I see the Monster Hunt is harder than Dungeon Run. Just feels so.
Honestly i cleared it in 2-3 tries per class. Its more strategic, but dungeon run was way harder because of variance

its too easy compare with Dungeon run.
It's nice to be IMPORTANT,
But it's more important to be NICE!

Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
It's RNG. There are plenty of people who have completed it already.. Overall I think it's easier since it's less classes.
Not sure if hyped yet.

There is no way it is harder than dungeon runs, actually it is opposite, it is less RnG, more minions focused.
Dead but dreaming

When the weak court death, they find it.

Happily getting to 6th/7th or even last boss's with all four heroes, but I haven't beaten a boss yet. Must say I'm struggling....
