So today on the release of TGT I decided to play arena to try the new cards and see how they do in the arena, chose priest, went into draft. What I found were a lot of Kvaldir Raiders, thought "damn this can be pretty strong" I had about 3 in my deck by the end of drafting. Next thing you know they carried me through on a huge winning streak. I won just by playing them, hero powering and making sure they stay alive. Which was easy for the lack of removal in arena. I was able to build one up to 12/12 at one point.
If this catches on with everybody this would be a problem, it's a common so its likely to appear and I think it could turn arena into a mentality of "get a silence or you lose" because this card can be the deadliest to face in arena. I just don't want arena to revolve around one single card.
What's your thoughts? Have you used or faced it in arena? How did it go?
When I've faced it I had to trade 2-3 cards into it unless I was playing a heavy beatdown deck. (in which case I just went face and allowed his 8/8 clear my 3/2s)
It's really solid, but it's not quite watcher crazy.
It actually is, u cant buff him multiple times, but the fact u can have it in any class makes him huge wild card.
I just mean that it isn't as easy to spiral out of control. You generally know exactly how big it'll become each turn.
Ye sure, u cant buff him several times in one turn, i agree with u there that the surprise factor is basicly non-existant, but it is still pretty decent minion that has to be removed immediately or it will punish u hard (most of the time anyway) and it being availible for all classes is quite huge, priest in particular likes this, since he can keep it alive not only by buffing it for +2/+2 but also healing it back up. Disgusting :)

I would like to say Kvaldir ridiculously crazy at the Arena, especially if you playing him on turn 7.
