I'm paranoid, so it could be just me, but i swear to FUCK that during evenings and mornings, ranked play is nigh impossible, but during midday, it's relatively easy. This even happens on weekends. Anyone else experience stuff like this?
It certainly feels that way. I can go on a 7 game winning streak in the morning. But by evening around 7pm, I can go on a 7 game losing streak with the same deck.
I don't believe you can predict a specific moment to ladder that'll ease your games. But for sure, at some moments, more unskilled players are playing then another. Could not tell when... since most of the players are living on differents area of times on NA server.

I play on US servers, live in Pacific Time zone, UTC-8. In the morning at 7am Ranked Constructed seems much harder and I fall from rank 17 to 20 quickly. At 9pm I seem to win more than half the games, get some streaks, and get back to rank 17. I've never been beyond rank 16 because I'm not that great of player. Friends at work have made ranks 8 and 4 and they say they only play ranked at midnight, never in the morning.
Well I experience the exact opposite during day time. I face only either super greedy homebrew decks that seem tailored to beat mine by simple magic, or are just top tier decks with ppl playing well and I keep losing and losing. During the night and by night I mean 2 AM its like smooth sailing usually win before the match starts cause the MM system paired me up against a favourable match as opposed to during the day where everyone seem to be prepared to beat me.
Example during this season I had 84% winrate from rank 16 to 6 in wild. only lost 4 games. on the last days I didn't have time to play during the night so I had to give a shot on 6pm and 7pm hours and oh boy in 8 matches I lost 4 matches and didn't advance a single star. no rank 5 for me. and such experiences I had before on other months
I remember back when I played WoW pvp was more challenging at night, you'd face more dedicated players overall.
However though, the difference is that in WoW you had guilds, and night time was when more guild members would be available (because very few people work nightshifts), which in turn would result in more dedicated arena teams and premades at bg's.
So yeah, I'd say more dedicated players play at night and early morning, but there should not be as much of a difference with mid-day players as in other games.
I can tell you what the diffence is, during the day your are playing against people at work, people on the crapper at work, and people on the bus on the way to work. In the evening you are playing against people who got in from work, and have fired up their deck tracker and PC for some serious hearthstoning.
If you thnik it's noticiable on ladder then try arena....the expereince is like night and day, hahaha
midday is after all kids and teens come home from school, younger audiences may play the game a lot mroe casually without really caring about ranks (and no you're not a younger audience if you are anywhere past 20yo)

I will reiterate my previous post in which i say i find it a lot easier to win at night than at day. I agree thst in theory ppl go full try hard mode pc and deck tracker and are older and better BUT i usually win games a lot more at night around 2AM to 4AM during the day its a shit and i usually end up on a 50% wr no matter the rank deck or game mode. Can someone explain it?
Due to this issue i never play rank during the day as i will tank my rank but being forced to only play 2 hours per day is a pain cause even tho my wr is off the charts i just slowly rank up due to just play a few matches. I guess my MM system is bugged
Yes. Easier during the morning and early afternoon. Much worse at night into late night. It also depends on you and your MMR. If you are facing easy decks then it means you lost a lot and are playing scrubs like yourself. If you get tougher opponents then it means you had some luck and won some matches.

My month in wild was around 70% wr from rank 25 to 16 and then from 16 to 6 with a different deck with only 4 losses and around 84% wr. Always played between 2Am and 4 am. Decided to play one day between 6pm to 7pm and in 8 matches got 4 losses out of the blue. Not the first time i notice this. During the day the matchups are harder as opposed to late night. Thats my experience with it. Same day later at 2am easier. Next day same hour free wins today played during the afternoon boom again 50% wr. Something is going on here.

in the afternoon, there's more people playing so it's more difficult to play.late night, when kids and huntards sleepimg, you can see more control decks

If you play during the day, you face school kids. People who are good are usually adults, and they work during the day, that's why.
in most countries, school is over at 2-3 pm, and some have huge "gaps" in the timetable where they just go home.
college students are included in kids, sorry if it was not clear enough ^^
The same thing happens during weekends. Easy in day, hard at night.

Casuals don't play during the night and early mornings, so you have a much higher chance to face a good deck / opponent. There is your answer.

Pretty sure it happens in arena too according to some players.
