I love playing Quest/Taunt Warrior but I just cannot deal with midrange Hunters. It's impossible, I get destroyed every time. They get board control so fast with their buffed minions that by the time I draw and play a taunt at turn 4 or something, my HP is already at 50%.
having both whirlwind and ravaging ghoul alongside some lower cost minions like stonehill, tarcreeper and others might help if you're not running them already
Ravaging Ghoul or Whirldwind + Sleep with the fishes. 2x Brawls and than just overwhelm them with taunts. And you probably don't want to play a quest unless you don't have serious board pressence. Your hero power is much better in the match up.
Hi, to win the Hunter Match-ups you need to always mulligan the quest away to get a better starting Hand looking for The Fiery Win Axe, then your deck needs to have board clears, I have 2xWhirlwind, 2xBrawl, 1xRavaging Ghoul, 1xSleep with the Fishes, 2xSlam, 2xExecute, and a King Mosh. You have to fucos on clearing everything, ust ignore the value side of your plays, the 2xStonehill Defender and The Curator will provide that in the end game, one more thing always prioritize killing beasts over other minions, so they can't activate their stuff!
Edit: Forgot to mention the 1x Cleave, really good vs hunter Stuff and Murlocs!
Ghoul, whirlwind, sleep withthe fishes, axe(dont be afraid of using it on a low cost beast like macaw or rats so you negate the next turn sinergy), brawls, armorsmiths(i run the list with 2 shield blocks and 1 shield slam), and taunts will do the rest. I allways mulligan the quest vs hunter because you win with board presence, they can not kill all your taunts. Keep armor up in use as much as you can. Your win rate against hunter should be very high. Good luck.
If your deck doesn't have Stubborn Gastropod, draft it. Hunter does't have any effective removal spells that can get rid of it early and Kindly Grandmother trades badly into it. Also, it's worth mentioning that Stonehill Defender isn't the best 3-drop Taunt to use against Midrange Hunter because it's a value card, and in the early game you want more raw defensive tools than value cards. I mean, the 1 attack on that thing doesn't positively trade into anything past 1 mana that Hunter has, and even if it can slow down the Hunter to some extent it won't keep them down for long. Later on in the game it can have more potential with being able to discover something to save you, but early game it's not as strong.

How do you deal with them? :/

If you face lots of Aggro decks, you should tech in the 2x Armorsmith

Don't go for the Quest, don't choose it in your start hand.
