Terror of the Tides will be my first sets of cards and my first expansion to be shown publicly on the internet (usually only share between close friends). Any C&Cs are very welcomed.
As the title implies, this expansion took inspiration from Warcraft 3's Naga expansion thus there are many cards took reference of Warcraft 3 and Naga in general. This expansion however will not include any new keywords since it's mostly a compilation of some of my older designs (as old as vanilla Hearthstone, obviously some reworked to either balance it or upgraded to have better mechanic, many also updated with better resolution pictures) and some newer ones.
This expansion includes:
135 Cards Total (90 Class Cards, 45 Neutral Cards)
10 Cards per Class (3 Common, 3 Rare, 2 Epic, 2 Legendary)
Peon stats change from (2 Mana 2/3) to (3 Mana 2/2).
Peon effect balance updated. (Text reads "If you have at least 4 other minions" instead of "If you have unused Mana Crystal". Previously the condition is way to simple to execute, making it a very strong early game card that gives too much value on board. By changing its condition similar to Gormok the Impaler's, its condition became much harder while still playable in very aggressive Zoo/Face decks.)
Militia updated to have the correct text. (Added Taunt which was previously missing.)
Rehgar Earthfury stats change from (5 Mana 5/6) to (6 Mana 4/5). (Rehgar Earthfury's effect is a very powerful OTK effect. However due to the insanely gamebreaking potential it has combo with Bloodlust, Rehgar Earthfury's cost is increased to avoid easy OTK combo while still possible with the help of The Coin. Rehgar's stat is also reduced to compensate for his powerful effect.)
Samuro, Mana Cost increased from (7) to (8).
Samuro, text now reads "Summon two 2/1 copies" instead of "Summon two 3/1 copies".
I really, really like some of the ideas on here. Some of the effects are a bit crazy in my opinion(samuro being essentially a 7 mana 5/6+deal 6 damage immediately card XD), but for the most part, these are really fun cards, and there are quite a few I'd love to see in the game honestly.
Nerzhul would add quite a bit to warlock, and Rehgar is something that, while not the absolute game breaker himself, seems like something that would have already been implemented in the game at some point(Though a bloodlust+Rehgar combo would probably be the reason why that's not so), and so on and so fourth.
I'd love to go more into detail but it's a bit late at the time of me writing this, so I'll just say I rate the whole set a 7/10. Not perfect but littered with great ideas all around, that makes you wish hearthstone had more cards like these.
U did a great job. Some cards are very interesting. I dream about more highlander-sinergy cards for other classes :) There is a lot of OP and unbalanced cards but its fine.
So, just asking. I have three mana crystals than i cast this card for 2 and have 2/3 and 3/5 on board? It's a 2 mana 5/8 right? :)
Hmm, or maybe he become 3/5 instead 2/3... Anyway even in this case it is very strong.
There are some way too unbalanced cards for this to be a thing, but man the theme and the overall design of the expansion is so damn well done and cool. Some legendaries are just common class characters but still that is better imo that the non-warcraft legenderies we are getting in HS atm. Keep up the good work man
I must be very drunk when designing that card to overlook how broken it is. My initial idea is to have more mechanic interactions with "unused Mana Crystals" but due to how easy the conditions to execute it, Peon became such a broken card that I overlooked it (silly me).
However, these are the changes I made:
Instead of "If you have unused Mana Crystal, summon a 3/5 Watchtower."
It now reads "If you have at least 4 other minions, summon a 3/5 Watchtower.", an condition similar to Gormok the Impaler's effect. I personally think this way the card is a lot less strong due to the condition while still be strong in an aggressive Zoo/Face deck.
I also slightly nerf Peon's base stats and increased its Mana Cost from (2) to (3).
I did some changes to Samuro to reduce his power level. His design was heavily based on his abilities from Warcraft 3 and Heroes of the Storm, namely Mirror Image and Wind Walk so I'm trying not to change the effect too much. I increased his Mana Cost by (1) and made his summons into 2/1 with Charge instead of 3/1 with Charge, so now he's essentially a 8 Mana 5/6 + deal 4 damage instantly. Which hopefully reduces the power level significantly while being playable.
I also tweaked Rehgar Earthfury a little to avoid the insane Bloodlust + Rehgar combo that I somehow overlooked. He is now 6 Mana 4/5 instead of 5 Mana 5/6. This way I think the Bloodlust + Rehgar combo is less likely while still a bit possible with the help of The Coin.

Thanks for the feedback.
