Hey guys I've been trying to refine this deck. It's done me pretty solid so far, though I've never played it up past rank 6-7. It's a C'thun deck supplemented with some Bolster related cards. Could I get your opinions on it?
my thoughts, you literally play like 5 viable taunts(not including emperor) i think 90% of the time bolster will feel bad sitting in your hand. its really not a playable card unless you at least play sparing partner and fierce monkey
also kings defender is terrible if you don't play sparing partner or another 2 cost taunt because fiery war axe will always be better. and the point of playing a weapon early game is to handle early game aggro. so if you have to wait 3 turns to kill a 1/3 trogg, it'll probably have 50 attack
Honestly, I've never felt bad having Bolster just sit in my hand for a few turns or so. Considering I tend to usually last a good while it's not a completely dead card for the entire game. It gets a ton of play despite the number of taunt cards in my deck not being drastically high. This deck surprises me with how well it generally deals with any aggro decks I've come across.Sometimes It does require me to use King's Defender early, but it's not that big of a deal all things considered.
King's Defender is better than Fiery War Axe because usually 6/10 times I'll have a taunt down on the board before I ever need to use it and in those other situations it's really just 1 mana. I don't believe 1 mana and 1 turn delay ever completely kills me beyond rare occasions.
Sparring partner is a pretty awful card when not used on another minion. At this point I figure it's better to run Defender of Argus because I can get it to give taunt to two minions more often than not, as opposed to one.

I still think fierce monkey should be in your deck. Its just too good a 3 drop to play when you have a bolster deck
Hell, i don't even have justicar in my variant or brann. and i think those are needed too
though, idk why you'd ever wanna play bolster, its a crappy half version of blessing of kings.
Bolster is an interesting card and I'm getting use out of it, that's why I wanted to run it and give this deck a shot. No one ever seems to suspect the card being played. I don't own Justicar Trueheart or Brann Bronzebeard for that matter. Neither do I own Fierce monkey. That being said the main focus of this deck is C'thun, not the Bolster aspect. That's why it's more C'thun heavy than bolster heavy. The extra taunts and bolster adds more flavor to the deck without sacrificing too much in any other areas. At least, that's how I see it.

ehhh, i feel like you'd get more out of pally with that line of play with equally if not better cards most of the time.

Yeah Fierce Monkey probably would be a good addition.
One turn delay versus an aggro deck is HUGE. It can make or break the game. Fiery war axe is way better against aggro than King's defender because you don't waste a turn 2 and a turn 3 play (if you play war axe turn two you can use it together with slam/shield slam/whirlwind/whatever turn 3 to kill another minion). King's defender at 3 mana is just too slow early game to do anything even if you have the taunts to back it up with the buff. Especially if you plan on adding two fierce monkeys in your deck (fiery war axe -> monkey -> good turn 4).
Another thing to consider is the amount of mana combinations you can make with a 2 mana card compared to a 3 mana card. Some examples:
Turn 4: beckoner/slam/hero power + axe
Turn 5: monkey/disciple/elder/shield block/hero power, shield slam + axe
