If you get a Reckless Apprentice as Shaman, which is easy enough with Cold Storage.
Then you use Reckless Apprentice to fire the 6 dmg hero power Bru'kan give you.
The Reckless Apprentice will just fire the 6 dmg hero power randomly until the enemy hero dies, also the animation will fire at the enemies minions but will not effect them.
This isn't a bug and it isn't random. Reckless apprentice triggers your hero power once for each minion and once for the enemy hero. It does this for every hero power, even those which can't target (targeted hero powers will target each minion once and the enemy hero once).
If the enemy has 3 minions: Warrior would gain 8 armour (3 triggers for minionsn and one for hero), hunter does 8 damage to the enemy hero, Bru'kan does 24 (or summons minions, heals a bunch or deals 8 damage to all enemy minions) etc.!
This needs the enemy to have four minions at least to kill them for 30 damage. The more the minions the better, a full board on their end would result in 48 damage to face, using the hero power would make that 54 damage. A sure death for most classes unable to increase their health or gain armour, since it's a mage though they can gain a surprising armour— just last night I had to kill one through 30 armour on top of their untouched health because my draw sucked.
The card is actually recognizing the minions but because the hero power can't be used on them it's pushing the damage/or effect of the hero power to the place it can go.

Does that make sense?
