I suppose the closest thing to VC is Questing Adventurer, but obviously not nearly as good in miracle if you can get your VC out on the same turn that you cast a million spells.
I run an Anubar Ambusher in that slot myself. Costs 4 instead of 3 but is a 5/5 that will bounce a SI:7 or Earthen Ring when it dies. Most of the time effort is put in to deal with the other minion out and the Ambusher in the next turn. If not then it is still 5 damage.
I see Arcane Golem a replacement more for Leeroy than for EVC
I am using both of them in one of my miracle decks. Reached rank 4 with it last season. I also got edwin and shade deck. Noone expect Arcane + Leeroy :)
Actually i never thought about playing both, maybe i'll give it a try.

As the title says is it immpossible to replace Edwin VanCleef in miracle rogue without it losing alot of consistency. thoughts or ideas welcome :)

Meh, VC isn't really that important. There's plenty of Miracle builds that don't run him at all.
Don't try to replace him, ignore him

sadly i dont have the last 2 wings of naxx :( working on that
I've seen some Miracle decks running Mana Addict
If you're facing a number of decks with divine shielded minions, a Blood Knight may be worthy of that slot.
