Hmm, you may be onto something Zamber. I run a Ysera and Malygos in my shaman dragon decks, and I will tell you what...I would KILL for an inner fire! I am going to play around with this. I will get back to you once I have played.
The old wisdom for not running inner fire was that the minion would just be summarily removed, but the fact that Tempo Priest is already running things like Velen's Chosen I can see 1 or 2 inner fires for a cheese win condition. While an inner fire would make Ysera BGH-able, a quick 12 attack burst would be enough to end most of my priest games by Turn 9-10. I think I'll give it a shot.
Yes, caturdayz, I agree with your assessment. I definitely can't see playing Ysera and dropping inner fire on that same turn. In fact, it may be sneaky to drop Ysera, take your bonus card, burn up their silence on their turn ("whew! they say), then inner fire for a 12/12 and they have no more silence. Good poing about making it BGHable. I wonder if there is a way to include enough BGH targets to be able to burn it before getting to Ysera. I do fear the abuse I would take by making a dread lord an 8/8, only to be BGHed, leaving the 4/2 AND the summoned minions. Yikes. Better have a light bomb in hand.
Theres also the option of Velens on a unit and then inner fire... Using these both on a northshire cleric nets you a 7/7 minion early. Again, inner fire is situational. If I cannot Velens + inner on a cleric early vs certain classes - I hold it till later in the game... I've been able to Inner fire an enemy ysera to use BGH. It was fun...
The fact that people remove minions that have been hit by Inner Fire shouldn't be a problem if you drop Inner Fire on the guy the turn after it's summoned so you get at least one hit in. One big burst of like 17 damage should be enough to swing the game in your favour, just make sure you've got other things to help you win if you don't draw Inner Fire (not like card draw is a problem for priest!).
A good consideration could also be Crazed Alchemist. This can serve as copies 3 and 4 of Inner Fire seeing as (as said before) it'll probably be removed the next turn anyway, so the fact that it'll have rubbishy health isn't such a problem (don't use it on Lightwell!).
Also chuck in a few other big threats like Dr. Boom or Ragnaros the Firelord. They should have free run of the place after the enemy blows all their removal on massive dudes from Inner Fire.

Running an amazing dragon deck lately. Im currently running 1 inner fire. May switch to two. Considering:
Deathlord
Dragonking Sorc
Ysera
Power Word: shield / Velens Chosen
You can only image the value I am getting out of inner fire.
This one card alone has won me games by:
1. Inner fire on ysera for 12 dmg
2. Velens and inner on Dragonkin (got this guy up to 17/17) in a single turn.
3. Inner fire on enemy ysera to use shadow word: death.
This card is revived. It has many different avenues of tech.
Cool ideas. You could make some nice combos.
I'll try somethin with inner fire and see how I feel about it.
I don't claim to be any good at this game, but here's the list I'm running:
It's been doing pretty well for me so far, but I'm still to new to this deck to know how consistent it is over time.

You could also put it in a control priest. The biggest hit I have had with it was a 20/20 Darkscale Healer
Angry Chicken

The Return of the silence xd
