I have been trying to practice a control/miracle priest in the dumpster these past few days and I have come to the conclusion that you should probably run medivh on ladder. Against good midrange paly players you just cannot out value their 3 tirions and 1/1 murlocs every turn. Alot of them run elise as well and you often just get grinded out. Im not a great control priest player so maybe if you optimize your cards better you can get away with no medivh
Medivh is a solid win condition, especially when running something like shadow visions where you can seal the game out with 3x Amber against heavier control decks. They only have *so* many ways to deal with 4 turns of eight drops. With medivh, priest is the new ramp druid in that respect. It's even respectable with something like dragonfire or holy fire, which also serve as removals/tempo swings for you.
imo all priest control decks should be running these things
lyra
elise
medivh
2 shadow visions
2 free from amber
you can fill in anything else, but in order to get maximum value, you should be playing those cards for heavy control decks
Basically it LOL. You can then add supplementary cards for any shell that you want. Midrange, Dragons, N'Zoth, or even C'Thun. Then make tech choices accordingly (Priest of the Feast if too much Mage at your rank). At the end of the day, still loses to Rogue almost 100% of the time, so its not the best deck to grind legend with.
