I am really enjoying this deck, currently sitting at 9 wins and 1 loss to a decent Druid that outplayed me. I'm an average player that hadn't played ranked much after the reset and it has brought me to 15. So many fun combos to pull off :)
Snake trap is a super overrated card. Lay a trap down and a "vulnerable" minion like knife juggler or buzzard. At higher ranks, it will draw a spell. There's literally no way anyone is swinging at that minion.
The stuff combos with UtH really well but not snake trap so much, unless you're fortunate enough for them to have no burn at all.
Playing this deck now, and there is a flaw, really.
Its really easy to get burned at the start, ie. you really relly on the combos, but when you play someone that just combines himself up quick and single take out your own minions, well, its harsh.
And if you dont draw The entire focus of this deck is to maintain board control and a full hand. This is accomplished by your "combo's" such as using > Knife Juggler with Snake Trap or Unleash the Hounds early, its game over. So Imo, prettu poor deck.
Crashed in around Rank 15 now.
After some time, I feel that the biggest flaw is somewhat that it's really easy to get outlasted by a priest (counts for more or less everyone I guess in some ways). Even if you put up a lot of preassure, it will never ever be a cakewalk.
People are indeed getting used to the Hunter meta, it's just a part of Hearthstone.
When I posted this deck it was day 1 of the new patch and people were still unaware of how to counter Hunters.
You will probably need to make some adjustments to the deck to adjust to the meta :) let me know if you need any help with that or if you have any ideas yourself on what you need to do.
what about swapping the pint sized summoners for eaglehorn bows? I don't think I've ever had much use for the summoner, it usually just dies immediatly.
Love the fun aspect ratio of this deck, but I'm never gonna use it for ranked :P Too much rng involved to be a consistent deck.

Agreed. Mages, warlocks, rogues, shamans, priests, other hunters will have no trouble at all removing that with a spell.
Not even at higher levels, people will remove that with a spell if they got one at low ranks too.
Also, even if snake trap triggers, I'm always so unlucky with it :( Just now, all 3 hits from the knife juggler hit the opponents face, when he has 3 minions out on the board. Like wtf? This happens rather frequently, and I'm even wondering if it's scripted to have a lower chanse to hit other minions if triggered from snake trap.
Hello, I have really been enjoying your deck. I happen to have been playing a deck semi close to it and got some real inspiration from your deck. I really like the cult masters and the Young Priestesses! Really helped my deck reach the next level.
I was wondering what made you put in Pint-Sized Summoners? Is it just acceleration and encouraging your opponent to attack your minion when you have a snake trap?
I might try Ghouls or Sea Giants or some thing instead of Pint-Sized. I feel like the deck running so many 2 drops we may be afford more 3 drops.
I think a possible replacement for Nat Pagel and Flare could be Tracking. Serves that purpose of giving a solid 1 drop and helps get the combo pieces you are missing.
And replace with: Sea Giant x2 and Frostwolf Warlord x2. Both minions will get so much synergy from Unleash the Hounds and Snake Trap. Your token creature throwaway with Cult Master should provide more than enough card draw to avoid needing the Pagle/Flare and putting Giant/Warlord in instead should up your mana curve considerably, thus eliminating some of the need for extra draw power.
For pure lol's you could add an Onyxia if you have it.

I'm curious if you have tried this? does it work better?
Personally I like the buzzard better than cult master because its very likely your tokens get removed on your opponent's following move, and plus the buzzard is cheaper.
Yes, I have played around with UTH and Sea Giant / Frostwolf Warlord. They are pretty sweet combos. Frostwolf is such a great card because if you even have 1 card on the board, he's a 5/5, which is fair for 5-cost, and anything beyond that is value. UTH with 5 enemy minions on the board makes the giant free; obviously you won't get that situation too often but even if your opponent has 3 minions and you have none, you can play UTH and play a 4-cost giant on turn 6, which is pretty value timing for an 8/8.

I like the Sea Giant in this deck because it can be used as a finisher as soon as turn 5ish. I suppose Frostwolf Warlord could come out nice and strong as well...but he relies too much on already having board control to be good. He countered by silence as well.... The giant doesn't fear silence, and he doesn't NEED board control to be good... He will come out later but still an 8/8, the Warlord will just be a 5/5 w/o board control.
Also, the game should be nearing it's end around 6 or so, so if you have Board control then, you don't really need the Warlords. You're main finisher is the UtH + Jenkins combo , combined with Knife Juggler or Tundra, etc. I like 1 giant in this deck, but the Warlords seem over kill.
I'll be honest, I have not actually tried running the Warlords, but that is how it seems it would play out to me.
I really like the cult masters and the Young Priestesses!
I think we all do, really.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If you see a post that you find objectionable, report it, it helps keep the forum clean. But be aware people are allowed a lot of latitude.
If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
I really like the cult masters and the Young Priestesses!
I think we all do, really.
yeah the card draw has tons of potential with the deck. i've tried running the two giants in a variation of my deck in the OP, like some people suggested. it defo. combo's well with all the card draw.
For people who have seen my decks / stream...You know I do not like playing the FOTM / Overpowered classes .. They bore me.
Thus, I took a break from Hunter the past season. However, with the nerf to UtH , there are more possibilities for Hunter decks then ever before!
It is truly an exciting time to play Hunter again.
I took a fresh look at the Synergy Hunter deck and decided to re-vamp it for the current meta and the new season ! It's more of a simple deck now, and even more budget friendly. However, it still retains plenty of combo's to sweep the game away with.
Without further ado... I present; Viss Synergy Hunter 2.0 !
The deck may be a simplified version of the original.
This does not mean, the deck is weaker however. Certain changes were made due to the change to UtH as well as the shift in the meta.
Personally, I find this deck to be a lot of fun. I've not pushed very far with it yet,
There are two main strategies to the deck, which I will go over below;
Strategy
With this deck , you'll usually end up playing either hyper-aggro or more combo-esque.
Depending on your match up and card draws, you may end up with early board control and a ton of early game pressure... Or , you'll end up making trades here and there, but mostly waiting to drop your low-cost cards together, in order to maximize their synergy's.
Example; Turn 2 Knife Juggler... OR , hold onto Knife Juggler and drop him a bit later with a UtH / before a Snake Trap proc.
**I'm not going to go into much detail here, as I plan on releasing a video later on today going over the strategy and plays of the deck, for those interested. The video will be posted right in this section of the post once I edit it in :) **
Card Choices
-1 Flare ( not much need for cycle's in this deck and not many Hunters around to counter secrets. )
- 2 Scavenging Hyena ( Too much silence currently, and other important 2 drops )
- 1 UtH ( Most decks in the meta are not swarming the board as much as they used to, and I was tired of having a useless UtH in hand due to the increased mana cost.. It was actually a dead card more than I'd like to admit. )
-1 Nat Pagle ( He just doesn't fit the deck anymore. Better 2 drops for it. )
-2 Pint Sized Summoner ( This card was iffy the first time around.. However, I liked how it fit in. The issue , once again, is now there is more important 2 drops to use... Namely Owl. )
-2 Cult Masters ( We do not need that much draw anymore. )
-1 Leeroy Jenkins ( The increase to UtH really hurt our Leeroy combo. I also wanted to make the deck more budget friendly. However, he's a card I still strongly consider subbing in depending on match-ups. )
~
+ 2 Hunters Mark ( This is one of my favorite Hunter Cards around. It's really grown on me, and with all the 'token' or 1/1 cards we can get with this deck, it's amazing to take down a huge threat with a 1/1 . )
+ 2 Stonetusk Boar ( With the nerf to UtH we needed more cards to combo with Buzzard. This card is our man; plus he works well with many other cards in the deck, such as Knife Juggler and Hunter's Mark )
+1 Kill Command ( Most of my games end with 1 or 2 Kill Commands into Hero Power + attacks from board. Amazing card for removal, or to seal the game . )
+ 2 Savannah Highmane ( This is one of my favorite cards in the game. It brings such value to the table, and is exactly what we need to keep up pressure later in the game...not to mention the 2/2's he spawns fits the theme of buffing lower-end beasts up...combo's with Knife Juggler , etc ).
+2 Houndmaster ( We need taunts with all the burst in the game now. Fortunately for us, this generous guy buffs our free tokens up rather nicely. 1/1 Snake from Snake Trap turned into a 3/3 Taunt ? Yes please! )
+1 King Mukla ( This guy is awesome for tempo. If you're playing the deck more aggresively , Mukla makes a very powerful turn 3 play.. Along with the fact that the deck runs 2 owls; we are able to silence the banana's fed Creature our opponent might have if need be. This guy is an all star )
- Replacement for King Mukla. I understand King Mukla is not that "budget" a perfect replacement for him is 1x Jungle Panther.
Jungle Panther has good utility with the shroud, and combo's well with Turn 3 JP into turn 4 Houndmaster.
Cards to consider adding:
* Leeroy Jenkins ( Finisher that combo's amazing with UtH. Unfortunately the increased mana cost of UtH really hurt this combo however. )
* Bloodmage Thalnos ( Cycle + Spell Damage.. Solid card, but we do not have too many damaging spell cards in this deck. )
* Arcane Shot ( If you sub these in, I'd recommend running Thalnos as well. )
* Scavenging Hyena ( Works well with our tokens. Was part of the original Synergy deck.. However, silence seems to be played a lot in this meta; hence the removal. Could be brought back if you do not face to many silence cards.)
* Mountain and Sea Giants ( If you prefer the token / combo aspect of this deck, I strongly recommend trying these out. It's not uncommon to get a Giant out by turn 4 or 5 with this deck, depending on how you play it. )
Final Notes
This deck has lots of potential and room for tweaks here and there. You need to try it , and find your own playstyle. Perhaps some of my card choices do not fit your playstyle as they do mine..Which is why I included the "Cards to consider" portion above. If you've got an idea that I dod not think of, please mention it! I'm always open to hearing ideas on how to better improve my decks. I know there are lots of creative minds out there... I'd love to see what you guys come up with ;)

I've actually not gotten past rank 5 with this deck. As a matter afact, I've lost quite a bit of rank trying to make a Shadow Priest deck work haha.
Maybe I will get back onto this deck though ;)

"Synergy hunter." Lol. Because you can make a non synergistic hunter deck? Nope, impossible.
You can, but most of the time you shouldn't.
