Hi, This is an easy way to beat the Lich King warrior matchup that I completed on my first try. There's yet another exploit with Kel'Thuzad in solo adventure that allows you to force him to not play any cards or attack you while in his frostmourne phase.
You spend the first part of the game trading and trying to draw cards. When he drops the frostmourne, brawl when your board is empty so that only 1 trapped soul remains. From here, just try to armor up and keep yourself alive until you can play Kel'Thuzad + Public defender. He will only attack the defender with the minion, not the Frostmourne. Once your public defender is within death range from the minion, he will stop attacking it. From here, he just mills cards and does nothing every turn. Use this opportunity to draw into your win condition: Scaled Nightmare(s). When you are within lethal range with the Scaled Nightmare, hit your Kel'Thuzad into the last soul and hit the Nightmare into the face for lethal.
The best part about this deck is the versatility. There is no card you need other than public defender + scaled nightmare. You are able to replace the Scaled nightmare with a bunch of different late game High value minions if you don't have it.
I hope you all enjoy the deck and make sure to upvote it if you found it as easy as I did.
Edit: Thanks for the resounding support guys and as i said above, feel free to experiment with different early game cards or win conditions if you don't have Scaled Nightmares if you don't have the ones I have or if you have better ones.
Below you'll find a video of KiwiinBacon playing this deck perfectly. Make sure to check out his other content to see more great videos of cool and interesting decks being showcased.
Thanks for the substitute suggestions.
Gonna try this, seems more friendly on the wallet. Replacing a Shield Maiden with a Unidentied Shield because don't have it.
Deck worked exactly as described. Knock this one out before they fix it.

After trying several decks, finally got LK down first try with this deck! Thank you, now I can finally show off Arthas :)
I just wanted to share, it still works as of 11/10/17. I use this deck. Most of the other LK fights I used the 2x alarmobots 2x stubborn gast decks.
Worked like a Charm, thanks!
Doesn't work anymore
i'm happy to hear that
EDIT: my bad, deck still work :)
Worked perfectly on first try. I did get Kel but no Public Defender, got to survive until I got him, though. Notice that after the Lich King has Frostmourne, it WILL kill any minion you drop with 5 life with the Frostmourne (if he has no lethal in this turn yet). It happily ignored my first Scaled Nightmare and hit me face with the Frostmourne and his minion, maybe because Scaled has 8 life, I dunno... I guess it would ignore Kel as well, but I didn't want to risk it and only dropped him along with Public Defender.
You only destroy the last spirit when your scaled nightmare is strong enough to 1-hit kill the Lich King, until then you just hero power end turn. Easy fight once you have the draw RNG.
Why the hell did he even have a second turn after his frostmourne got obliterated? You should let one trapped soul alive and wait to destroy it only when you have the OTK. Read the instructions on how to use the deck before bashing it.
Lol - I would have had it but I had brain fart when I got Public Defender and Kel'Thuzad out. I forgot to put out my Scaled Nightmare for 3 rounds and when I finally did, it was ONE round too late and I ended dying from fatigue. I make me laugh.
Love this deck though
Does the bug work post nerf?
Thank you! Worked perfectly.
Thanks! First try even with KT being the last card in my deck -.- Never lucky...
Just for fun, I was able to get my Scaled Nightmare up to a level of attack so as to inflict 1,073,741,824 damage to The Lich King. That's over 1 billion. :)
Incidentally, I discovered that this is the upper limit of the Scaled Nightmare's attack value. If it doubles on its next turn, it would be 2,147,483,648 which is one number higher than can be stored in an integer field (for you computer geeks out there, the INTEGER data type can hold numbers from -2,147,483,647 to +2,147,483,647). As such, what ends up happening is that the Scaled Nightmare gets reset to zero. Kudos to Blizzard for (somehow) taking this into account, and not crashing the game.
Of course, after the Scaled Nightmare gets reset to zero, it will never again be anything else other than a 0/8 minion, since zero doubled is zero.
Keep in mind, all of this experimentation had to be done carefully so as not to exceed the 89th total turn taken. There is a safety mechanism which causes the game to end in an unconditional draw at the start of the 90th turn, even if one or both players are immune.
So, there you have it. A billion and change worth of damage ought to slap that cheatin' Lich King back to the stone ages. How I was able to accomplish this was to incorporate Violet Illusionist, so as to render my hero immune from fatigue damage.
Synopsis:
Cards needed to pull this off are: Kel'Thuzad, Public Defender, Scaled Nightmare, Violet Illusionist (in this order). Brawl is also useful in keeping the damage down low by eliminating excess Trapped Souls, but it is not necessarily required. You may be able to dispose of 5 out of 6 Trapped Souls via other means. But in a perfect world this is how it goes:
Player's Turn 1 - 7 = survive, keep board clear if you can, pump up the armor as much as you can
LK's Turn 7 = Frostmourne + 6 Trapped Souls
Player's Turn 8 = Brawl to leave only one Trapped Soul
LK's Turn 8 = 7 damage to the Player's face
Player's Turn 9 = whatever it takes to survive another 7 dmg to the face (Hero Power, shield Block, etc.)
LK's Turn 9 = another 7 damage to the Player's face
Player's Turn 10 = play both Kel'Thuzad and Public Defender
LK's Turn 10 = Attack Public Defender one way or another but avoid lethal damage
Player's Turn 11 = play Scaled Nightmare (2/8 minion which doubles attack at the start of Player's turn)
LK's Turn 11 and beyond = Attack Public Defender until close to lethal damage on him; otherwise... NOTHING (i.e. draw a card and end turn). As long as Public Defender and Kel'Thuzad are on the board at the same time, there is nothing the LK will do (he will eventually begin to burn through his own cards).
...
When Scaled Nightmare reaches 256 attack, you can end the game by using any of your other minions to attack the last Trapped Soul and then punching LK in the face with your uber Scaled Nightmore.
...
OR you can let it ride and build your minion up to a ridiculous amount BUT in order to do this, you must play Violet Illusionist before your hero takes fatal fatigue damage. Please keep in mind that you need to have a space on the board to play her.
Under this perfect scenario, you will get Scaled Nightmare to its maximum attack value on the 79th total turn. This means you have 5 Player turns to "mess around" with in order to get your Scaled Nightmare out there (meaning turn #11, 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16). If you cannot get your Scaled Nightmare on the board by turn 16 (or total turn 31), it will not achieve maximum attack value (of a billion+).
Have fun! (I was sick in bed this week, so this helped me pass the time. Thanks for reading.)
(Scaled Nightmare maxed out)
(shows damage actually being dealt)
(these images were taken in the iOS app on iPhone 7 Plus ... in case you were wondering why they look different)
Took 3 tries, RNG Trolled me hard in the first 2. KT was the LAST card in my deck on the first try, and never drew brawl on the second. 3rd attempt was plain sailing, though it did take a couple turns to draw brawl.
Not having any Scaled Nightmare I used Blood of The Ancient One to get The Ancient One as my finisher instead.
Thanks for the suggestion. I used [card]Blood of The Ancient One[/card] into Faceless Manipulator and Sudden Genesis on the next turn. He shattered one of them but the second one killed him.
Too easy, ty
