You can exchange blood mage thanks for loot hoarder or other spell damage minion, if you prefer. Few taunts bot loads of healing. Velen plus spirit lash heals 4 hp per minion on board, with 1 spell damage it's loads full heal vs 5 minions. And curve is rather midrange apart 3 cards.
