Updated Egg Druid for Wild.
Update 1: after extensive testing, I've found that atm I can cut off Naturalize.
Addled Grizzly was taken instead. I liked it's synergy with all the small creatures we have plus respawning spiders and treants. Not to mention it's interaction with Echoing Ooze (making a two 1/2 a 2/3 and a 3/4).
Update 2: Zombie Chow was substituted with Dire Wolf Alpha. In this kind of deck you can consistently get value from the extra +1 damage. Plus it's an extra target for the mark.
Update 3: current abundance of Pirate Warriors, Aggro Shamans and Piracle Rogues has called for special tech-ins.
Bloodsail Corsair works nicely to trim opponent's weapon (plus it often allows for a better trade with the now unbuffed Small-Time Buccaneer). Also there is a free body in the form Patches the Pirate which has a nice synergy with Addled Grizzly and Lotus/Forest buffs.
(*) Corsairs + Patches were taken instead of 1 Dragon Egg, Raptor and Finley.
P.S. Thanks a lot to J4CKIECHAN for inspiration.
P.P.S. A slower variant of this deck.
This has no AOE?
Thoughts on playing Genzo, the Shark in this deck? Maybe swap out one Jeeves?
Jeeves is reliable. While Genzo is likely to be killed on sight before he is able to attack even once.
Seems like Pantry Spider would be a good fit here - maybe instead of raptor?
Actually yes. Raptor is better against brawl and any AoEs that deal 3+ damage. In other cases Pantry should be a not worse or even better substitute as it's an extra body to buff.
OK, yes, I see why no need for swipe - game is over by the time you'd want to use it. 5-0 so far.
One thing about the Egg Druid, I have never had good luck with. Maybe because I'm a control-mid range type player, and I hate not trading to keep the board clear.
How does one play the Egg Druid? Face is the place, and only trading to protect your minions (and must kill minions like Fandral etc)?
No swipe?
no swipe.
Yeap. No swipe.
The point is to flood the board with sticky minions. And jeeves your way to roar.
P.S. If there would be too much control opponents, it's ok to tech-in N'Zoth, in order to re-build all that stickiness.
P.P.S. Also there is this more late-gamish variant.
