This deck is all about Hobgoblin synergies, allowing you huge turns from almost empty board.

This deck got me (very) easily to rank 5 last season S30, it was less efficient afterwards, ranks 5+ being more control heavy (global record 42-22 66%).

It is very strong against secret paladin, and very weak against frost mage. You can include a Eater of Secrets or a Crazed Alchemist if you wish, but it would hurt other match ups (not hunter match up though) and synergy.

It is not a typical zoo as you do not want to empty your hand too soon. You need cards to play along your Hobgoblin straight away, as he will almost always get killed next turn (if he survives, your opponent will most likely die soon).

Combo exemples:
Hobgoblin + Voidwalker
Hobgoblin + Echoing Ooze + Lance Carrier
Hobgoblin + Voidwalker + Possessed Villager + any 1att gotten from Dark Peddler
Brann Bronzebeard + Echoing Ooze + lance carrier
Hobgoblin + mistress of pain + Lance Carrier
Brann Bronzebeard + Gormok the Impaler or Dark Peddler or Defender of Argus

Mulligan:
You usually want to play first minions that wont be played with Hobgoblin, so look for: Dark Peddler, Imp Gang Boss or Haunted Creeper.
Of course that won't be enough so you can drop a Voidwalker or Possessed Villager, but you need to keep cheap stuff!

TiPS:

• When playing Dark Peddler, usually look for something that synergies well with Hobgoblin. Reliquary Seeker can often make a huge play in middle game (with Brann Bronzebeard and/or Hobgoblin).
• Try to play both dark pedller soon to know what you can later get from Hobgoblin. If you have Brann Bronzebeard in hand, then you might want to delay, however time is of the essence.
• Gormok the Impaler is your only direct damage, so use him wisely, knowing when you should save him for later.
• A buffed mistress of pain (Lance Carrier or Hobgoblin) can really make your life more comfortable.
• Brann Bronzebeard + defender of argus on brann is most often a strong play even if brann dies next turn.
• Try if possible to always play Hobgoblin with a Voidwalker or Annoy-o-Tron so that he gets he chance at survival.
• Do not be too greedy with Hobgoblin, holding him off too long.
• Do not be too greedy with Hobgoblin playing both of them on the board, unless you're really sure there's no board clean, or you are desperate.
• Do not overcommit if you think there's a good chance your opponent gets a board clean. However, it might also be a good call to rush opponent before he gets a board clean.
