Hello everyone,
C'Thunis my favourite card from this expansion so far and I have been really enjoying playing all C'Thun decks, especially Brann Bronzebeard version of druid.
This deck has good early game minions, strong mid-game and blasts the whole game with C'Thun.
Mulligan is quite simple:
With coin, you only want to keep 2-drops such as Darnassus Aspirant, Beckoner of Evil, possibly Twilight Elder or Disciple of C'Thun.
Without coin, Living Roots is really strong and of course 2-drops mentioned above of course.
If you have Innervate, consider keeping bigger cards like C'Thun's Chosen, Brann Bronzebeard or Twilight Elder.
Mulligan also depends on opponent you are facing, for example playing Living Root vs. control is not very effective, etc.
The strategy behind this deck is also fairly simple, just buff your C'Thun and just pop it. This druid deck features very stable early game - quite a few early drops like Living Roots, Darnassus Aspirant, Beckoner of Evil, etc. Turn 5-7 is also really strong and will help you get to the C'Thun point - Azure Drake is great for cycling through your deck, while threatening your opponent with spell damage, Druid of the Claw and both Dark Arakkoa and Ancient of War are great way to stop your opponent from dealing face damage. Sylvanas Windrunner is great at stoping your opponent, because he can't just kill it without losing board. And of course, there's Twin Emperor Vek'lor, this card has just so op stats...
Part of this deck, which makes it so good is Brann Bronzebeard. This little dwarf brings so much value, even if he survives only one turn. Your C'Thun buffing is so much more effective with him. Brann Bronzebeard + Darnassus Aspirant or Azure Drake or Klaxxi Amber-Weaver are also pretty powerful. Synergies in this deck are endless...
Drawing C'Thun is sometimes really tough. Nevertheless, Azure Drake,Wrath andNourish will help you most of the time. Also note that you will be able to push for win often without C'Thun, just by overwhelming your opponent.
If you're bored, you can check out this and have some fun!
Good luck on ladder!
Good deck thanks
gets shit on by agro when you dont get invervate
Don't have Sylvanas, Vek'lor, and missing 1 Darnassus Aspirant. I have replaced Sylvanas with Doomcaller and a Darnassus with Wild Growth. Any recommendations for a good replacement for Vek'lor? I have all the legendaries for both adventures. And I also have an extra Doomcaller that I could put in, but I'm not too sure if I should add another Doomcaller to the deck.
Don't play this deck w/o veklor.
Bog Creeper Saw P4wnyhof using this card in his f2p to legend series
Any replacement for Darnassus Aspirant ???
Wild Growth
bog creeper
Bog Creeper or Ironbark Protector
Easy C'Thun Druid? That sounds like a textbook pleonasm to me.
Nah, but seriously it's a fine deck. The only problem I have with druids is that if you're playing against a tempo oriented deck and don't draw stuff like innervates you often lose.
Well, this deck is very easy to play. Good beginner deck.
How far did you get with it?
Sylvanas replacement? I'm using Emperor Thaurissan atm
I would replace her with Doomcaller, Ragnaros the Firelord, Mulch or Emperor Thaurissan (more or less in that order. I prefer the C'thun revive (+buff) or remove over reduced mana cost most of the time.)
