Hello everyone and welcome to my Deck Guide. At first i will tell you the Story of this deck and at the bottom you can find the Deck idea. You can skip the story if you want.

So Whispers of the Old Gods finally arrived and with it the Standard Mode. And with this comes alot of change especially for Paladin. Since the Knife Juggler nerf and the removal of Aggro Paladin Staples like Muster for Battle, Avenge and Haunted Creeper and the general shift of the meta to a more "controly lategame" state of the game i thought that maybe it's time to bring back out the Control Paladin!

But i thought wrong. And the reason isn't even that Control Paladin is a bad Deck in General... It's just that other control decks are just better at controling. I saw myself bein outcontrolled by the likes of control c'thun priests, control c'thun warriors and control c'thun druid. With all the strong c'thun support cards and their removal aka Entomb/Shield Slam/Execute/Mulch I never find myself in a wining position even with a lot of lategame. And then c'thun hits the board and it's mostly their win.

Then i thought: "well we also got alot new early game with cards like Rallying Blade, Selfless Hero, Divine Strength and our regular aggro draw mechanic aka Divine Favor is still there". So i tried some new kind of Aggro Paladin. But i soon realized that without Muster for Battle/Haunted Creeper and Knife Juggler Aggro Paladin is just too slow to really Kill the new C'thun decks due to the new Dr. seven aka Twin Emperor Vek'lor,  Dark Arakkoaand Ancient Shieldbearer + Twilight Darkmender. Also aggro Hunter is still alot faster than aggro paladin. So i lost a couple of games there too.

Overall i dropped from rank 11 to rank 15 and i really was at my wit's end as to what Paladin deck might work.

While playing around a little longer i realized that even tho everyones playing C'thun Control or aggro Hunter neither side used any silences or Big Game Hunter. That's weird because even after the nerfs BGH should be (in my opinion) in almost every current deck due to the C'thun Meta. 5 Mana Kill C'thun sounds reasonable right?

So without BGH and silences i came up with this new deck idea. And see here: It worked. In only a few games i ranked back up from rank 15 to 10.

Now Let's go over the deck idea:

This decks idea is to get your early divine shield minions out to get favorable trades with their shields, Seal of Champions, Argent Horserider and Keeper of Uldaman. As soon as you Control the early board you start to deal some face dmg. Then around turn 4-6 you drop some small divine Garbage and a Blood Knight who is the MVP of this Deck. The value gain is insane and since silence is basically not in the Meta right now most classes cannot deal with this Monster at all. A turn 4 9/9 Blood Knight plus a turn 5 Blessed Champion for a 18 attack minion Won me MANY MANY GAMES. And even if you get hit by a Entomb or Execute you still have your 8 mana legendary staples to finish off the game. Double Ragnaros happened so often it's quite ridiculous.

If this Deck gets popular enough i might make a more in depth guide with mulligan/matchups and so on. But for now this concludes my Deck presentation.

[Update] I just reached Rank 8 with a couple more games and this deck really delivers the 70% winrate untill now

BTW Ragnaros the oneshot lord XD

Not with me Mr. C'thun Control Warrior.

For the Light!
