I did a updated based on a gameplay, maybe if we reach at least 150 + i can make a review
Go look my deck, i have a really better C'Thun Ramp ....
I disagree, Aviana is a dust and dies on single removal same turn. Same as Emperor Thaurisan, if it lives more than 1 turn you are already won.
So you don't understand the combo ^^. You dont care Aviana stay only one turn. You don"t care Thaurissan stay only one turn. Just Aviana + Brann + C'thun and gg wp. ( Read the text before speak next time ;) )
Why GG? Your Cthun will deal 30-35 damage. On turn 9 opponent can easily set 13-15 hp on empty table, so not the fact that he will surely die OTK. But the main problem is too stay alive for near 20 turns to get all 3 cards in hand. I played CW with OTK possibility (with raging worgen), and combo is played in very rare scenario, against other control decks mostly, so that was not the best deck to climb on ladder. But control warrior has best set of removals which druid don't have.
So your deck can have great mutchups against... well... reno decks, priest. Mutchups against any mid deck will be very tough. And be ready to get auto-loose against any control warrior, freeze mage, tempo mage.
And just to add some constructive thoughts to my post I'll add that you can surely remove forbidden ancient, that is just a real dust card. Also you 100% have to add Ancient Harbinger, to get your combo closer to t10, but not t20.
Also I think you have lots of activators and low cost minions already (your deck will play good against aggro I think, Beconers with TwElders are good beggining anti-aggro) and have serious treat for end-game, but you need some more tough minions in mid-range.
I can recommend to change C'Thun's Chosen to something more viable, 2x Klaxxi with their guranteed 4/10 for 4 mana will fit well.
Thx for your advice, but i'm not alone for theorycraft Drood and you take very bad choice :/. Ancient Harbringer is a very very bad card and i dont think my curve is bad versus midrange.
But thx for your advice anyway :)
Very interesting idea. I'd say, that this decks lacks exactly 1 card and that is Defender of Argus. Because if we consider, that you have a lot of minions, that do have synergy with C'Thun, however no other defensive/board control effect, I think you might be very soon overrun by some kind of aggro and also when you are unlucky on drawing him, you could lose easily vs other heavier control decks. My suggestion then:
-1x Azure Drake, -1x Klaxxi Amber-Weaver
+2x Defender of Argus
There is 6 huge taunt walls in this deck already though. I'm not so sure Defender of Argus is necessary.
amateurish
you cant pay big game hunter now he cast 5
amateurish
the new big game hunter cast 5
and keeperofthe grove is 2/2
boa baleia
I think it's a pretty solid idea, but I have a feeling that Fandral Staghelm is not good enough to play. He can't be played on the same turn as your Ancient of War, and playing him with Druid of the Claw is 9 mana, he most likely will be a dead card. I think Brann Bronzebeard would be much better to work with your cultists and C'Thun. Additionally brann lets you gain more card advantage late game with Azure Drake if you really need it.
Additionally Hogger, Doom of Elwynn seems a bit weird to put in. You already have a lot of taunt with Druid of the Claw, Dark Arakkoa, and Ancient of War, and he's not being much of a threat. Since you're a ramp druid you will want Emperor Thaurissan in your build. He seems much more appropriate.
Thoughts? I like the rest of the deck. I definitely will be trying it out next week
I don't think c'thun is a good card for druid. if you're planning on making a ramp, you MUST have cenarius in your deck. and the lores and fandral WILL be a good card. you have to make your deck around it. your big choice cards are already amazing. if you combine it with stuff like living roots or raven idol, druid of the flame, druid of the saber (you lose stealth tho). If it stays on the field and u can play cenarius with at least minions you can trade AND have 2 4/4 taunts for only 9 mana. I've been working on my ramp druid for more than a year and I still have trouble making it work in this high paced meta and I'm dying to see the results of the new cards. Also astral communication could be added with the forbidden ancient to play early. Just my thoughts
Not sure if Druid Leg is justified with only 7 minions but the rest definitely looks solid. Can't wait to try!
It also works with spells. So wrath becomes deal 4 damage and draw a card.
I like the deck, but why isn't it running Brann or Emperor Thaurissan?
I Like Bran.. but Emperor makes no sense anymore
It's a C'Thun deck... pretty self explanatory.
Fandral is a 3/5 for 4 mana that your opponent MUST remove or the next turn could be bad. good card imo
Looks good, but I think Fandral Staghelm is too slow.
I'm guessing the plan with Fandral is to combo it out with Druid of the Claw on Turn 7 with Innervate, or Turn 9. Hopefully it doesn't get killed, and then you can get value with Ancient of War + Fandral.
IMO the problem is that Turn 9 is probably too late, and on Turn 7 it's unlikely you have the 3 combo pieces AND an Ancient of War waiting to be played the next turn for max value. And you don't really want to use it to combo with Mire Keeper on the same turn because it'd get killed super easy.
It might be better just removing Fandral altogether, or using it with a Beast deck with cheaper Choose One minions. I got super excited too when Ben Brode said you could Uproot and Taunt with Ancient of War with this card... but it's super unrealistic to play it, even with Astral Druid.
Still a very good deck though. I look forward to trying it out with some slight modifications.
Btw, if you play Control Warrior, I would appreciate it if you could look over my decklist for C'Thun Control Warrior: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/479769-cthun-control-warrior-standard
Please let me know what you think!
Good, but why not Vel'kor And Brann?
