An insane control priest deck! This class became unbeatable after introducing entomb and excavated evil as well as having a new 1/2 which discovers a death deathrattle card (and as we all know battlecry cards are very strong). I took this deck to the Swiss tournament and i had 100% win rate with it. I also went 22 wins and 4 defeats with it on ranked. I am sure it will help all of you in this insane paladin / shaman populated meta as well as it will help in higher ranks since it destroys control decks with entomb. If i will get over 25 upvotes i will write a full guide on it as well as why i took these cards. For now enjoy this amazing priest experience and make ladder a better place by destroying aggro :)

just reached rank 2 with it and current score is 43 / 8

(dont judge me on my english pls it isn't my mothertongue)
So the way you play this deck is like any other priest control control deck --> dont let you opponents do anything, destroy their board (in case of aggro), steal their strong cards with Entomb (in control matchup) --> make them tilt and start doing stupid mistakes / quit the game --> Win!
To be honest this deck has no week matchups, it does amazingly against aggro (literally u dont even need to pay attention to the game, just use removals and make them surrender xD), you have an advantage over control decks since thanks to LoE (i love you blizzard for the cards introduced in LoE) we have Entomb which basically helps you be ahead in fatigue matches and steals for you amazing cards that your opponent plays!

really works, thx a lot
in my humble opinion, there is no point to running this deck without justicar.
lmao, this deck is hard countered to aggro decks. Have you even looked at the decklist? x2 Flash Heals x2 Entomb x1 Justicar Truehart x2 sludge belcher x2 Deathlord and x1 Holy Nova. Mate this deck doesnt get better against aggro decks.
Only if you draw bad and they draw real good early game and rush you down. If you have decent draw you should be able to stabilize around turns 5-6 and from then on it only gets worse for the hunter.
Yeah I love the car also, it's just so versatile and you can pick an almost always good card (because most deathrattles are good) for your situation.
Yeah Zombie Chow + Auchenai Soulpriest is very gud
You don't need Syl in this type of deck, trust me! Entomb your opponent's or discover one with Museum curator :)
I think -1 Soulpriest, +Starseeker wouldn't be a bad idea.
its funny that every disliked your comment, yet the pros actually do run one less soulpriest, except they change the entire archetype, minus even the circles and blade masters.
Very strong, but easily affordable deck
Why say "but" an easily affordable deck? I'm just saying a very strong deck that's affordable is two positives for me :3
A ton of the main decks around are usually more affordable. Secret Paladin's pretty budget, Aggro Shaman's cheap as chips outside of two doomhammers which is still only 800 dust, aggro/egg druid which has cropped up is generally budget, Oil rogue which is currently tier 2 is relatively budget, So is Tempo mage - a good pool of relatively budget and strong tier 1-2 decks.
To be honest, outside of Renolock, there aren't too many mega expensive decks that are in the tier 1 or tier 2 pool, which as an avid heavy control player generally makes me rather sad
You can swap for dark cultist/acolyte of pain. I personally don't like blademaster, you get a bad hand with only blademaster to start, you play him out of desperation and he gets killed by wrath, darkbomb, knife juggle, the two minions they played whilst you had no play. Dark cultists one health makes him harder to kill, late game you can heal your face or another minion. Acolyte of pain gives you cards which enables you to find your board clear.
Any mulligan tip?
Replacement for Justicar?
I just played this deck with and without Justicar. The difference is night and day!
There really isn't much of a replacement for Justicar Trueheart since she improves the core function of the deck: keeping your minions alive/doing damage with Auchenai Soulpriest. If you must replace her, I used Faceless Manipulator for a while to "copy" big charge minions or end of turn effect minions. You could always use Entomb to steal your opponent's Justicar. I see it mostly with Control Warriors and Mid Range Paladins. Be careful not to use both entombs on the Mid Range Paladin until you see them play Tirion Fordring.
Is there any viable control priest deck without having any lightbombs? It sucks I have never gotten one I know
No, Lightbomb is too powerful of a control card to entirely exclude it from a control list. Many lists even insist on running 2 copies.
You could possibly run another Holy Nova? Although Lightbomb is very useful for board clears and board control for Deathlord and such.
Agreed on control decks needing 2 copies of mass removal. This deck is more of a control variant of mid-range in that it runs 17 minions and 13 spells. Seems like a more proactive tempo deck than a purely reactive control deck. Not a complaint, just an observation. Also, pretty fitting since hearthstone and all its decks are tempo/minion based (since minions double as removal, since they can target anything).
