Hello boys and girls. Just tossed together a deathrattle deck to try out the new Fossilized Raptor and I think it's quite good! Wen't 10-3 into legend with it just now.
I don't know how final this list is, since the game sample size is so low, but I just wanted to get the list out there so people could standardize it.
Basically it's a soft aggro/midrange deck, a lot like secret paladin is. You get on the board, and stay there, which is pretty easy with all deathrattles. Obviously raptor is a big part of this. Using it on anything is good value. Using it on a shredder, egg, or sky golem is nutty.
Curve out, take nice trades, and burst for lethal. Easy game.
Question,
Would Sneeds work instead of Piloted Sky Golem cuz I don;t have a Piloted Sky Golem
Sure. The new card wobbling runts might be better than both though, haven't played this since I posted.
about 10 wins in a row. rank 10 now. works good :D
UPDATE. 23.11.15: Played easily to rank 5 with this deck. All classes are beatable. Try to get legend now
Looks pretty cool, just one question why did u choose Sky Golem over Sylvanas?
Sylvanas is best used from behind. When you're ahead she's usually just a 5/5, it's the reason she was cut from a lot druid lists since they're meant to be played from ahead.
Sylvanas is quite good in a control meta so if the meta does trend that way Sylvanas would be a good addition. Until then I prefer the consistent value from Sky Golem.
I tried a similar list but used dark iron dwarf instead of sludge belcher... It helps to activate the egg and it helps the small spiders be usefull.
I am rank 3 right now and testing...
You don't need fok because you're always ahead. Everything in your deck has deathrattle and you have dagger and backstab to protect things. The egg has been great. Usually you just dagger on 2 but this is a lot better. You just play it on 2 and you will have something for your raptor. Using raptor on egg is almost game winning it's so much value. Also consider it is aoe insurance which is important for a board centric deck. Argus is extremely powerful in this deck and with egg so I have no idea what you're getting at.
Cold blood is instant egg activation, it a 1 mana evis to win the game, or a huge trade up with a 1/1. It feels very good here but could perhaps be abusive and the result would be the same. As for 1 oil, I always ran 1 oil in rogue because 2 can feel clunky and oil isn't necessarily the win condition here. I think 2 oils could definitely work, since there's so much deathrattle. It's going to take a lot of games to get right. A lot of the time I'd just rather play another minion than go for an oil, and just go for the oil when it's lethal. When you run 1 you usually have it as finisher and don't need two.
How do you expect to stay alive/keep board in early if you don't have FoK and only run 1 blade flurry?
Nerubian egg is also a bit of a niche card if you don't draw raptor. You have defender of argus for that, but it's 4 mana. Zoo warlock makes it work by running abusive sergeant. Maybe something to consider.
Cold blood and 1 oil is interesting. Can you explain your thoughts behind these picks?
I kind of understand what he means... It's hard to keep the board's presence when you have only a Nerubian Egg as a 2 mana card. Bloodmage Thalnos gets killed pretty fast, and SI:7 Agent or Unearthed Raptor needs either a combo or already a Nerubian Egg in the board otherwise you're losing value. Eviscerate is hard to use on a 1 or 2 mana minion since sometime you think it's overkill. Basically, you need to mulligan everything until you have enough low mana cards in order to be sure to prevent any aggressive deck. Everything is just too late (thinking about DoA or Oil, especially the last one which is the same as SI:7 / raptor).
That's all fine in theory but if you actually played the deck you'd find this isn't the case. There's also haunted creeper in the two slot by the way. It's not hard to keep board presence at all when everything leaves something behind.
Never been a big fan of haunted creeper. If I want to use them, then I'd rather use a more aggressive deck with cards like abusive sergeant.
