Typical control warrior with some tweaks.

After playing the old CW during TGT's release, I was continuously getting owned by both aggro, and the resurgence of Ysera into the meta. After playing with the cards we all thought were going to be amazing (Varian, Chillmaw, etc) I found that by the time I was playing these cards, I was so far behind that Varian would do absolutely nothing, and Chillmaw was just too inconsistent to clear the board. If I wasn't beaten down by aggro, I was facing a board full of Emerald Drake and Laughing Sister.

So here are the tweaks I made:

1) Mind Control Tech

MC Tech allowed me to last into the later turns while facing aggro so I could get my big threats out, but it also did something I didn't expect which was give me more options against handlock.

2) Bash

I was looking for more early options against the aggro rush decks and toyed with different creatures but found them getting removed, or not doing enough to impact the board immediately. Bash was a card I wasn't sure about until I began experimenting with how good it compared to Slam. Slam offered the card draw, but in order to get the draw, I had to finish off creatures with other means. Not only that, but if facing aggro, I wasn't getting any additional benefit by killing the 2-health minions. Bash offered one more damage, and you always end up with additional health.

3) Deathwing

So I had found what I needed to beat back the aggro but was still getting hung up in other control matchups (namely those involving Ysera). Varian just wasn't cutting it and was putting creatures on the board I desperately needed the battlecries for (ShieldmaidenBig Game Hunter, etc). Playing CW you have lots of removal through shield slam and execute but in those very late game situations where each player has very few cards remaining in the deck, I needed that panic button to seal out the game and Deathwing has brought me just that. This deck only runs one Acolyte so I hardly discard more than 2 cards by the time I'm ready to reveal what is in my opinion, the coolest card in the game.

4) Last but not least, Blackwing Corruptor

Mid-range had a few holes and I was finding that running two Sludge Belchers was actually slowing me down. Since this deck has two dragons that you will most likely be holding onto until the end of the game, I figured Corruptor would be a worthwhile add to the deck. It not only helps clean up enemy minions left behind from the previous turn, but will also trade for some of those higher health minions you don't want to waste removal on. Even in situations where the battlecry does not activate, I have found it to be more useful than a second Belcher purely for the trade value.

Probably the biggest enemies of this deck are Tempo Mage and Combo Druid. Other than that, most matchups swing consistently in your favor. I'm holding a decent 71% win rate after about 30 games and having fun doing it with some cool cards that aren't often seen. Have fun and let me know what anybody thinks!
