My winrate 26-4 from rank 5-legend. This is my first guide, but i think i will make more in the future, if this will be a succes.

STRATEGY:
Against aggro: You have to trade and get board control, because you have so much tempo with your spells than normal aggro, so you will beat them if you get the board. You don't have to keep your fireballs for burn, you have to use them for get board control some times.
Against control: You have to let them trade and just go face most of the time. If there is a good trade you take it, but most of the time you go face. Keep your fireballs for burn your enemys face in late game, because against control matchups, they take the board control in turn 7-9.
Against midrange: You have to make a mix of "against aggro" and "against control". Midrange is the hardest matchups, because you have to decide going face or trade. Make some good trades. If you have a 3/3 Mana wyrm and your enemy have a 4/3 kezan, then just go face, because your enemy will probably trade anyway.
CARD REPLACEMENTS:
I have tried so many different cards in this deck! Like all cards in the game and if you ask me, this is the best way you can make a tempo mage deck. So don't sub anything for flamestrike or antonidas etc. This is the best list imo. But here is the cards you can replace, if you don't have these legendaries:
- Dr. Boom can be replaced by Pyroblast but will never be the same as Dr. GG!
- Ragnaros the Firelord can be replaced by Pyroblast but will never be the same as Ragnaros. If you don't have Rag & Dr. boom then i wouldn't play this deck tbh
- Sylvanas Windrunner can be replaced by Piloted Sky Golem because the point of Sylvanas is when you lose the minion, you will get a new one. Sylvanas is just better, because it's steal a minion from the enemy.
- 1x Water Elemental can be replaced by 1x Kezan Mystic
If you face a lot of Hunters or Mages, then this change is better.
VIDEO GUIDE:
Coming soon! I can't be done with the video in this week, because i need to read for my examens! :)
I only need make the video now, but i will do tomorrow! I hope you all understood my guide and if you liked it and my deck, please give me a +1, will help me a lot! Thank you all! :D
DECK EDIT: I tested some games with Water Elemental and found out, that he is actually stronger than Piloted Shredder.
THANK YOU ALL: I will TY all for the follows on my stream and the upvotes on my guide! It help me so much, i will start making more guides/decklists for you guys! :D
LEGEND: Right now i know 40 persons reached legend with this deck, maybe many more!
Strifecro does something like that, but not in tempo mage. He does it in control mage (grinder).
Played my first game against a face hunter. Won.
This deck is blessed
Just have to say, this deck is badass. 6-0 so far. Amazing games with it too.
cant win against handlock, any tips?
Took this deck from Rank 8 to Rank 3 then made a couple of substitutions and took it to first-time legend. I swapped out Sylvanas for a flamestrike (really helpful against patron), and an Azure drake for another Mirror Entity. With 2 scientists and 2 secrets your scientists often wind up as a straight 2-2 for 2 which is usually worse than just a mirror entity as the entity can still proc flamewaker. I also subbed in Antonidas at times for Rag as the deck already has so much RNG, but it was probably a 50-50 on which one I'd have preferred in hand for any given game. Rag definitely won me a few games in the early ranks.
Most of the decks I faced were warlock, warrior, and hunter. Against fast-moving decks like hunter and demon-lock you really need to get something on the board fast to counter their early aggression. Against slower ones, I preferred to try to stockpile some cheap spells for proccing the waker. Against warrior, I found mirror Image to be nearly an auto-win and don't be afraid to frostbolt his face to preserve your board heading into his turn 4.
From Rank 10 to 5 in few days, Strong early game with flamewakers and most of the time Ragna really helps for win vs midrange / hybrid ( unfavorable matchups )
Been having some great games with this deck. Won 8 in a row. Thanks. Rank 6 current
-1 Ragnaros
+1 Kezan (epic wins against hunter, a lot of them in ranks 2+)
+1 Loatheb (save me a lot)
I'll try the Water Elementals</pre>
Ragnaros the Firelord and Archmage Antonidas are pretty commonly interchangeable in tempo mage.
Pyroblast is the "poor man's" version of either.
Really like this deck !
it has all the answers to small and big minions and your opponent often don't expects Counterspell !
Do you think antonidas can works in this deck?
I rarely play Mage but found this really solid so! Only tried in casual but 5-0 so far... will have to take this to rank soon! (at rank 10 atm). Thank you for a very well-rounded deck. The late game of sylv, Boom, Rag really helps to turn things around just as the deck might start to run out of steam.
Edit: working awesome in ranked as well! 5-1 so far.. only loss being against a mid range hunter where I dint get any of my starting plays. Most fun game so far was against a priest who conceded in T5 when I killed his Blademaster twice after resurrection and still had 6/3 Mana Wyrm and Apprentice on board.. :) :)
Good to see you replaced the 2 piloted shredders with water elemental...I replaced one before you made this guide and it worked better for me. Also I think an AoE is essential so I replaced one Mad Scientist with Flamestrike. Don't know if it's a good idea though to get rid of a mad scientist but I sometimes find myself having at keast one one of them in the late game without anymore secrets.
Had a few hilarious results with this deck. Hunter, Druid and Shaman were more easier match ups. If they deal with your early game threats, you tend to run out of steam though.
How does this deck vs grimp matchup work?
Tempo mage is great vs Grim Patron
Do you think replacing Ragnaros the Firelord with Archmage Antonidas would be good?
I love this deck :D
Is Loatheb a possible replacement forSylvanas Windrunner?
