Edit 03/10/2024: I forgot about the Standard rotation, I planned this deck initially as a Standard deck but since Shadowborn is from Castle Nathria it will rotate, making this deck wild. But oh well, I guess this deck can stay here as a budget deck for Wheel of DEATH!!! without Bloodbloom. I shall try to make another Wheel of DEATH!!! deck that fits Standard after the expansion is live, this time keeping in mind the rotation.
Hey hey heey. Your boy is back with another G O O F Y deck. What can I say man, I love em. And they did it again. Blizz did it again. Another expansion, another goofy card for Warlock. Before I start the deck explanation, I would just like to state how disappointed I am with this cards animation. I mean obviously there couldn't be a animation like Destiny Board since theres no slot mechanics in Hearthstone but really, a wheel? A wheel implies RNG, no? It is often linked with Yogg Saron and RNG elements. I dont really think a wheel fits the OTK format. What would be way cooler was to make it a, idk, hourglass? Like for example, you play the card, then a hourglass icon is put to the right of your opponent's board next to the deck. And every time they end the turn, a animation is done showing it fill more. Or when the card is played, make the opponent's board turn purple and each time they get closer to death make it more purple or some stuff. Second thing I want to say is how disappointed I am with the lack of support we got for this card. I mean to be honest, okay, I cant really expect them to print out a lot of cards that synergise with this because of the obvious insanely powerful effect, but honestly bro, only real synergy cards Warlock got for wheel of death is Sketch Artist which will be a core card for this deck and Cursed Campaign which I didnt use in this deck. And we can also count Wretched Queen I guess but thats really in the big demon synergy. As I said though, I cant really blame em.
So. Lets get into the deck. The thing with Warlock removal cards is, most of them are shadow spells. Unfortunately, Whell of DEATH!!! is also a shadow spell. I thought about adding like one Defile or Soul Siphon in the deck but I think it would make the deck slower, and that is the last thing we ever need in a deck like this. So, in this deck, there wont a lot of removal in terms of spells. You will need to fight minions with your minions and/or just stall them. Now that I said this, lets get into the steps.
Step 1: Draw the necessary cards to survive The most realistic minimum turn you can play Wheel of DEATH!!! is on turn 5 and that is if you play a Shadowborn on turn 3 and Wheel of DEATH!!! on turn 5. Which is honestly a pretty good time to play it I think. The first step is to get the necessary cards you need in order to survive 5 turns on your hand, which is the hard part really. It is true that the sooner we play the Wheel of DEATH!!! the better, but it would be pointless to play it if we cant do anything with our hand for 5 turns(the opponent will rekt us). When I say ''necessary'' cards, I mean Sargeras, the Destroyer and Wretched Queen and Soulfreeze and MOST IMPORTANT CARD YOU SHOULD HAVE IN YOUR HAND BEFORE YOU USE WHEEL OF DEATH!!, Floppy Hydra . Now, I searched for cards that shuffle or put stuff in your deck to include in this deck because if you dont you will face a total of 10 fatigue damage you will face (1+2+3+4). The idea is to make Hydra die every turn(I know its hard to kill such a cutie :() so you wont face fatigue damage. Also, you can use the Felstring Harp. Note that you dont really need to play all of these cards, infact dont play them, they just need to be in your hand before your deck is destroyed.
Step 2: Draw and reduce the cost of Wheel of DEATH!!! ASAP. So, after you have good cards that can buy you time make the opponent unable to damage you what you need to do is draw the Wheel of DEATH!!!(duh). To do that I added two Sketch Artist . The temporary copy will be useless. Once we have the Wheel of DEATH!!! in our hands we will want to reduce its cost as much as possible, so we play Shadowborn. If you have a great opening hand and face a class that usually plays more late game, you can even use the Wheel of DEATH!! on turn 4 or 5. Play Shadowborn on turn 3 and coin on turn 4 or wait for turn 5. Which would honestly be a killer play. However, if you do this with no good cards in your hand you are as good as dead.
Step 3: Survive 5 turns. Originally, I intended the barrel of sludges to deal damage when we use Wheel of DEATH!!! and destroy our deck, but now that I think of it, you can also use them to avoid fatigue. But again, best option to avoid fatigue is always Floppy Hydra. I mean once I saw this card the first thing I thought was to make a Priest deck with this, kind of like Student of the Stars but then when I searched for a shuffle card I saw this and OH MAMA WE HIT THE JACKPOT. I dont know if it will be viable to use for 4 turns, but I defintely think it will be viable to use Floppy Hydra to avoid fatigue at least 2 times. And just in case, you can use the Felstring Harp or the barrels. So yeah, other than that, what you need to is survive for 4 turns. For this I added really annoying cards like Giggling Toymaker and Soulfreeze and can I say DAMN I think Soulfreeze is a good card. Freeze 3 enemy minions and take 3 damage only. Since we dont have shadow spells, this will have to do. Also a substitue for shadow spells I put Arson Accusation and Chaos Creation . I think they will be handy.
And thats it for today folks. I am awaiting to see how this deck will play out. I decided to make it now since all neutral and Warlock cards have been revealed. I guess we will have to see.
I really like some ideas in this deck. I haven't thought of Shadowborn myself but since I amnot a Warlock main, I don't know every card yet.
But bro, remember that Zilliax 3000 has a shuffle into library module ;).

Yeah man its true Zilliax does have a shuffle module. But the truth is I dont know if I will craft Zilliax. I made this deck according to my library and you know im aiming for my decks to be budget decks. I want them to be made with the less amount of dust possible. All of my decks(I mean I have 4 decks anyway) are under 10k dust and every one of them except Tony is under 3k dust. If I add Zilliax it will exceed 3k dust. For example, I think that the best way to avoid fatigue damage in this deck is to play Symphony of Sins but I didnt include it in this deck. Why? Because I dont have it, and because its a legendary. Also, Fanottem, Lord of the Opera is not included too. For the same reasons :)
But if I do decide to get Zilliax, I will definitely include it in this deck and if someone is reading this comment I encourage them to use it too. Scales, if you decide to get him, defintely use him bro.
As for Shadowborn, yeah I searched for possible shadow spell synergy cards and decided to put it in. I mean, I actually thought of adding like 1 Defile or Siphon Soul since they would not get affected by Shadowborn anyways but I didnt want to risk not drawing Wheel of DEATH!!! .
