Thanks to Kadakk for creating a video showcasing this version of the deck! (This particular version is -1 EVIL Miscreant, +1 Shadowstep.

GUIDE

I've been having some success vs. the dreaded Demon Hunter and other classes with this mix of Stealth & Secrets- both big Ashes of Outlands packages.  It's FUN to play and feels pretty strong, burst damage from stealth + Eviscerate and/or Ashtongue Slayer.   Current winrate is 62%!  Playing at Legend.

I love this deck because Tempo Rogue is my favorite archetype and now with Leeroy Jenkins gone, people are less afraid of burst damage (even though Reckless Rocketeer isn't far off), but we've still got it with Ashtongue Slayer and Eviscerate.  I decided to make a deck guide even though I didn't hit 10 upvotes  since Kadakk was kind enough to make a video plus quarantine so...

CARD CHOICES

-----------------Stealth Package

Stealth synergy is built around activating Greyheart Sage (Arcane Intellect + a 3/3!) for draw and using Ashtongue Slayer ideally for burst damage when possible.  Shadowstep enables re-stealthing of minions (say you drew Greyheart but have an un-stealthed minion) but is better utilized to get an essential 4-mana Sprint (like the old Prep-Sprint), or +6 attack from a Slayer or to get double battlecry from a removal minion, or to protect Shadowjeweler Hanar for a secret-binging next turn.

I like having SI:7 Agent and Scorpid around to deal extra 2 damage where it's needed, even if that place is the face.  The goal of using stealth is to direct that damage to the enemy hero as much as possible, but you trade when you need to.  Skyvateer is also an important part of the (great) draw engine we have going on in addition to Dirty Tricks and the Sage. If you feel like cards are flowing, you're probably doing something right, and it's not so dramatic you're ever worried about hand size.

Akama Prime is a little pricey to play and has been a bit lackluster. It's more of a bonus stealth minion but can come in clutch against certain classes.

Ideal opening usually consists of Turn 1 Spymistress, Turn 2 Skyvateer or Ashtongue (aggressive), Turn 3 Greyheart Sage.  The secrets will come together later in most cases so you can get greater value from Hanar than playing him on 2, though this sometimes works.

-----------------Secrets Package

We have the obvious 3 secrets, 5 total.  I chose to remove 1 Bamboozle because although it's the funniest, I have found it to be weak as opponents play around it once they know and hit you in the face instead.  You only need 1 secret to begin the Hanar train, and you also don't really want it to be Bamboozle or there goes your Hanar if you only play 1 secret with him to start.

The rest serve as good draw and removal that synergize with my favorite card of the set, Blackjack Stunner.  What an absolute unit, eat your heart out Sap. Your opponent will want to concede when you essential use a 1-mana directed Freezing Trap on their 9 and 10 cost minions to banish them to the unplayable realm and reduce their hand size.  Great against deathrattles and giant taunts, and a satisfying "Don't let the door hit you." battlecry and "Good riddance!" attack. Note that, if you ever really need it for lethal, Stunner can return one of your own minions to your hand at +2 cost.

Just playing Dirty Tricks on 2 isn't bad, it's the best secret, and you should just use it when you need draw.  Few opponents can avoid casting a spell.  Ambush and Dirty Tricks are the better Hanar activators, after that you can go crazy with secrets in the mid-late game.  He will always offer you 3- 1 Paladin, 1 Mage, 1 Hunter secret, then, if you picked a Hunter secret, the Hunter secret is replaced with another Rogue secret on the next discover.  Keep in mind you can only have 5 secrets up at a time and Shadowstepping him will free up mana for a certain secrets turn.  I can't tell you what secrets to pick, it'll be based on your needs at the time but always Eye for an Eye meme if you can.

-----------------Flex Choices

In addition to Blackjack Stunner, Maiev and Flik are soft and hard removals, respectively, and both are good Shadowstep targets if needed.  That's up to 5 removals, more if Flik kills copies.

EVIL Miscreant and SI:7 Agent are just good cards.  Miscreant can fill up a low hand with something to do and combo activators without worrying about holding onto lackeys for Heistbaron Togwaggle since we aren't a Galakrond deck (aren't you tired of Galakrond?)  Backstab is a great activator on 3 for these cards to take the board (SI:7) or provide some lackey value when you haven't a better stealth play.

Eviscerate is best used as a finisher, alonside Ashtongue Slayer if needed.  It can be used for minion removal in emergency situations but better to direct that damage at the face since the deck isn't meant to last into the late game. It's tempting to use Cold Blood but Eviscerate is more versatile overall and ignores taunt.  Ashtongue is a fine mini-cold blood without the combo condition.

 MULLIGAN

General: Spymistress, Greyheart Sage (with Spymistress or Skyvateer or Akama on The Coin or if you're feeling lucky), EVIL Miscreant and SI:7 Agent are good keeps on Coin or with Backstab, Skyvateer and Akama are almost always good keeps.

Vs. Aggro:  Backstab, SI:7 Agent, Eviscerate (not ideal to use) is really all we have. Burrowing Scorpid helps but is too slow to keep.  You can aim to retake mid-game.  Wicked Knife as needed.

Vs. Control: Ashtongue Slayer, especially with Spymistress, generally trying to get damage rolling as soon as possible without over-committing. Aim to slap the face early game a bit, lose your board, retake enough to finish with burst and effective removals.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Skyvateer > Patient Assassin or Worgen Infiltrator or Loot Hoarder, but none of them are as good.

Burrowing Scorpid > Escaped Manasaber.  I'd also consider -1 Scorpid +1 Shadowstep.

There's another very similar version that's popular right now (front page) that uses Secretkeepers, Worgen Infiltrators, and an extra Bamboozle over SI:7 Agent, Burrowing Scorpid, and Shadowstep in mine. I feel that Shadowstep is essential, and the extra pings help control the board in the early-mid game, but will admit I haven't tried that version myself.

Please try it out and let me know how it's doing for you- constructive feedback is wanted!

I'd really appreciate a +1 if you like it, I'll provide match-up details and recent replays at +15.  Hopefully a cruel fate doesn't await this deck in the ashes...expansion.  :)   Thanks!
