I've been playing pogo decks ever since the card got released, and feel like it's finally time to share this list and give some tips out of personal experience. The list won't do much, but your playstyle and decision-making will. I took the time to make an in-depth overview on how to play your matchups and actually play pogo rogue right, because I see WAY too many people play it wrong. The reason it has only a 30% winrate on hsreplay is because people play the deck maybe 3 times, they don't put the effort or practise into it and just discard it as a trash deck. I believe that with enough practise you can make anything work, and set myself the challenge to climb as high as possible with the deck next season. This first season I've mainly been refining this deck and its playstyle at rank 5 to 3, and been able to float around 60% winrate overall. And if you don't believe me, I play it live on stream and keep track of the score, as well as post my deck tracker stats regularly. People can shit on pogo rogue all they want, they can't stop me :)
I hope I can help some people have fun and perform well with pogo rogue, thanks for your time!
really great deck and i have been going pretty well a with wild version of the deck. removed tak, myras and barista (because budget :-/) for two vilespines and sonya looking pretty good for now with a 5-0 winrate :-)
never played wild but this deck could definitely use cards like vilespine for removal and elven minstrel for draw (those are the cards I miss most after rotation). Grats on the great winrate!
Cool deck! Thing is, I don't have Barista Lynchen yet, so I don't think using Pogo is a good idea for me just yet. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could replace Pogo with (any high value cards if you replay them)? I don't know what to choose...
well you can't replace pogo's obviously, and you could replace barista with a bronze gatekeeper, eviscerate, acolyte of pain.. any card that helps with draw or survivability. One thing to keep in mind tho is now that we have actual stats of the deck on hsreplay, it turns out barista is one of the most insane cards in the deck. It has the highest mulligan winrate and the 2nd highest played winrate (highest being tak). These facts blow my mind as well, sample size is a bit over 1000 so could be a bit off but still, she's a big deal in the deck!
Hi ben nice deck you got there Pog
pogU
awww yeahhh pogo rogue!! thanks for the deck and for the in-depth guide, can't wait to try out pogos now ♥
haha thanks mermsss <3
What about Nomi? is he too dead for this deck? Since the deck is a Combo Win deck would Nomi Unable Prep not be a good secondary combo for this?
Well why not just play nomi rogue then? The main wincondition is pogo's in here, adding togwaggle, nomi, leeroy etc would all shift it away from what this deck tries to achieve. I also want as little dead cards in hand as possible, like mentioned in the video, this is a very proactive deck with a low curve making most cards playable right away to control the board, draw and get to your combo. In fatigue you win anyway if you just get to shuffle pogo's or zilliax in, so trying to go for a nomi just doesn't feel right to me.
very fun deck, and yes i test it on rank 5 and it works just fine
Awesome thanks a lot for the feedback, love it :)
Thx for your Answer, Ben.
Will not give up. :)
I´m 1-4 with this Deck at Rank 18. :(
Play it as you say in your Guide.
I think you should expect immediate results, you don't master a deck in just 5 games. I like to compare it with the old APM priest, sure you can have the decklist, follow the guide and learn the combo, but it takes practise to get good at it and be able to pull it off reliably. If you like the deck, don't give up!
how about some more defense as in
Bronze Gatekeeper ?
I actually talk about this card right at the beginning of the video, and have discussed it in the comment here as well if you want to hear my opinion on it :)
Sadly yes, hopefully our pogos get more support next expansion or this solo adventure, just to shake the meta a bit.
well I play hearthstone for fun, what's the point in jamming boring decks just to climb (only if you like winning games I guess). Sure if you want to rank up quicker, play something better. But if you like a challenge and really enjoy bunnies, I'm just presenting how to get the most out of it. Meta's shift indeed, let's hope for the best!
I cannot Say How this Deck Perform in US/Asia, but unfortunately in EU you get Murdered :-( , we Have a Lot of Rogues and Token Druids/Mech Hunters here.
Im Literally Dead Turn 6 most of the Time, I Guess Maybe I Mulligan Incorrectly who Knows.
Against Warriors and Priest (there are Literally No Priests) its Most of the Time Auto Win.
I Play in the Rank 5 Regions and Not Legend Ranks.
Best Regards and Thanks for your Deck, sry for my Bad English.
