First Deck here!
Has held a consistent win rate of just over 50% at r5-r3
Wanted to find a way to make Shaman competitive again and beat the tide of Wall priests that I seemed to keep facing. There's just something satisfying about hexing priest's combo pieces...
General strategy is to control the board with cards like Volcano, Rain of Toads, Lightning Storm, etc. until you can Eureka! out your big bois. Ancestral Spirit lets you maintain some stickiness if you can get one of them to land on board.
Dream combo is turn 3 Far Sight into a Eureka! into a turn 4 The Lich King. Let me tell ya, that feels gooooood.
12 upvotes and I'll make a full guide!
Swap 2x Likkim for 2x Mountain Giant (Your hand is usually pretty full and an 8/8 on turn 4 is never a bad thing)
I would definitely try to squeeze in Electra and Krag'wa
Only issue with including cards like this means it presents situations where your Eurekas might hit targets you don't want them to. Electra is probably less of an issue than Krag'wa in that case
I remember playing something similar to this but with snowfury giants and the shaman spellstone and was able to cheat out four of those. Might want to try it out.
With so much overload and no added benefit those Eureka spells are indeed the only way to get to play those big minions at all... The original ones will stay in your hand
Oftentimes it becomes a war of attrition to play the big minions. You outlast a lot of agro heavy decks to the point where you slamming a Lich King or Ysera becomes too big of a threat for them. Against more control based decks, it's really easy to play those big minions, it's just a matter of timing!
So how win with this deck?
Two win conditions:
1.) Outlasting agro decks through all of your board control and summoning tools till they run out of resources in hand and you can drop big minion after big minion
2.) Playing around control decks' removal and taking advantage of the slower paced game to save Eureka's for hitting The Lich King or Ysera, and saving Hexes for your opponent's crucial minions
Nice Deck. I switch one Rain of toads for Electra.
Lot of combo possible ( healing rain / volcano / double eureka ) + one more chance to draw eureka with the Storm chaser !
Electra with Eureka is probably great, unfortunately I don't have her so I can't test it out. Glad you like it!
