DFB Mage or Draw Freeze Burn Mage is a degenerated archetype from Freeze Mage.

The usual game plan of Freeze mage is to control the board, then Alexstrasza, then last burn in the opponent face. This can be view as a marathon.

This take on freeze mage is more of a sprint. The curve of the deck is so low it'll make the aggro-est deck jealous. No card with a mana cost over 4 and even there is only 4 of them.

How to play

The goal of the deck is to reunit your burn with the Apprentices in your hand as fast as possible and then burn there face all at once

This is more of a combo style of play where:
- You draw your deck Research Project, Arcane Intellect, Novice Engineer, Coldlight Oracle
- Control the damage you take Ice Block, Frost Nova, Cone of Cold
- You reunite the burn in your hand Fireball, Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Forgotten Torch
- Reduce the cost of it Sorcerer's Apprentice
- Put the burn in the face

You can even OTK (or TTK) you're opponent:

OTK Example (without even taking into account eventual burst you got through Primordial Glyph)

- Sorcerer's Apprentice (2 mana) * 2
- Roaring Torch (1 mana 6dmg) * 2
- Frostbolt (1 mana 3 dmg freeze) *2
- Ice Lance (0 mana 4dmg) * 2
- Fireball (2 mana * 1)

Total 10 mana 32dmg 

Mulligan

Hard mulligan for draw engines against all matchup

Matchup

This deck lose hard against classes that creates tons of armour (Warrior, some Druid)

This deck win hard against classes that either self damage (Warlock) or doesn't have much heal (Rogue, Shaman)

Against aggro this is an even matchup (unless they are bomb mech hunter which can trigger bomb even when they are frozen). In general against very aggressive opponent the combo Frost Nova + Doomsayer is awesome.
