Is Zola necessary? Also, can Gluttonous Ooze be swapped with Acidic Swamp Ooze or maybe Harrison Jones?
Ooze can swapped for any other Weapon Destroyer Battlecry or if u mean that this is not so important than skip him complete for a other good card.
And Zola is a little bit necessary cause if your Shudder plays as first Battlecry the Grumble than u didnt become the Shudder back to the hand again. Zola is only there that u become save a shudder of the hand again.
You can use Either Brewmaster in here for pretty much the same effect. It's not the perfect replacement, but something that works. Use the 4 mana Brewmaster to keep Keleseth in there.
good
Is hagatha necessary?
thought about the same question cause didnt have her
I picked an PrimoDrake instead of Hagatha (cause of the Battlecry) and worked too. I know Hagatha is so much stronger but atm i dont want to spend so much Dust for this only :D
since i'm missing only grumble and hagatha,i'm glad to know a primordial drake would be a good replacement, thanks! :) (don't have enough dust to make them both xD )
Hagatha is not so important like Grumble, dont try any Shudderwocks without him.
np, nice if i could help (:
Lol I have done TONS of decks without him, and it´s very doable.
Just know that if you dont use grumble you are pretty much limited to playing him once per turn,
but with Reno Jackson that isnt much of an Issue ;D
Been playing your list and it's really been fun. Feels strong at my rank. I swapped a BGH in for Gluttonous Ooze. Helps me with all the Even Warlocks I've been facing. Tough call though that ooze does come in handy. But, I think the BGH helps more to flip games I was unfavored than Ooze does.
Got my upvote!
6/4: Hit rank 5 today. Got absolutely crushed by a cubelock. Hope I don't see too many more of those. Also had the longest game of my life vs. a Quest Priest. He turned into a Shudderwock Shaman and it was dueling Wocks for bout 10 turns apiece. I'm wondering if prioritizing duplicating the lifedrinkers would be a good idea when you see that Priest drop a Quest on turn 1. Not sure, I won eventually so maybe no change is necessary, just patience.
- hagatha -keleseth
+ doomsayer + thalnos
I could say this is surprisingly easier to play than the other version.
has more tools to interactively stay alive till you pull off the combo.
Agree. Playing with 2x Doomsayer atm, noticeable better winrates against aggro (paladin and rogue).
Edit: rank 3 already on day 3. Edit2: not so sure about Doomsayer anymore, when silenced, it messes up Volcano. Back to the original list :)
I had a pretty good run with this deck from rank 2 no stars to Legend.
I think I lost 3 times only
Plus it is prettyfun :)
i would suggest Loot Hoarder or Doomsayer. You’ll have to take out Prince Keleseth ofc and add Bloodmage Thalnos if you have him.
Zola can’t be replaced. Originally the list included Mumuring Elemental to garantee a copy of Shudderwock to your hand. Without Mumuring the combo is not 100% consistent. If Grumble fires before Saronite, Zola is your second chance. To increase the odds, use Grumble or Zola to play a third Saronite.
Sometime when you need some life back and freeze minions, an alternative is to play Shudderwock before Grumble, when you know you get multiple Shudderwocks and your opponent can’t fully clear the board, then play Grumble the next turn.
mulligan guide? :)
Climbed with this list from 2 to legend in a 16-6 streak and this list is original created by zyrios proof: https://mobile.twitter.com/Zyrios7/status/1000069130719055873
Might have but it was played sucessfully by ETC in a tournament
@BonzaiLTN I wanted to write the same, then I noticed your reply 👍
Paladin is hard, but otherwise it’s a pretty nice deck in the current meta, it wrecks control. I have a positive winrate est. 55-60% in Legend (EU). Def not a fringe deck anymore.
I took out Gluttonous Ooze and Mind Control Tech for 2x Bloodsail Corsair. It makes the deck a bit cheaper (against aggro or when your hand is full and you need to play something) and the Mind Control Tech can return unwanted minions to your hand instead of a Shudderwock.
@Amrad_priest
so what i can say in 31 matches i have played against 3 paladins and won 2 so for me its a good matchup you need your aoe and pull shudderwock on turn 9 for heal and board and then its gg
for me the problem is the mirror and sometimes even shaman... ithink the rest of the matchups are very good
and to the mct problem you have: i never had this problem in games were your opponet have so many board that this happens you dont play your shudderwock combo, its no problem then and you can keep your zola to return shudderwock or make a grumble zola play on 9 and then return grumble and zola on 10 if you have time that play have won me many games. with this deck you have alot possibilities and outcomes its not just your shudderwock combo. Simple sayed if you draw with farsight grumble or zola or shudderwock or hagatha that changes your enitre game plan and it happens more often then you think.
