Hey! So this is the deck I’ve been laddering with since the beginning of the expansion and tweeking as I’ve been playing it. I have been able to climb to legend for the first time with it. While the odd variant has a lot more power in the early game, this version can compete with its early game and has more staying power in the late game and can even compete with cube warlock. The strength of the deck is mainly in how accessible targets for buff cards are, as having a 1 mana hero power makes it very easy for the deck to have nothing on the board then suddenly slap on Spikeridged Steed if need be.

There are some noteable inclusions in the deck that I deserve explaining. Dark Conviction is a very flexible card, as against aggro it serves as a buff for immediate tempo, and against control it becomes a way to get giant taunt minions to a removeable size or make giant minions from other decks less threatening. While a tempo deck that leans towards being more aggressive, Spikeridged Steed has been included to both help make aggro more manageable in the mid game as well as act as a value card. Bonemare serves a similar purpose while also gaining tempo in the late game. Silver Sword is pretty much the nail in the coffin for any other board-focused decks and helps seal the game against control as well.

There are a few cards I’ve experimented with and others I have thought about including but haven’t tried. I initially tried running double Mad Hatter since it is extremely strong if you are ever dominant on the board, which happens a lot. It ended up being too inconsistent in clutch situations. I also tried Hydrologist for a pretty good while, but I’ve opted to cut it because the secret pool is not strong enough and playing the secret often ends up losing me a Silver Hand Recruit that I could have had instead, so I have been trying Argent Protector, and it has helped a lot with maintaining tempo in the early game.

Cards I’ve considered adding include Tirion Fordring and Ebon Dragonsmith to discount Silver Sword, but they both seem a bit too slow. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I think the deck can still be further refined!
