my take on the even midrange paladin. i see all the current lists running dude synergy with crystal lions/lightfused stegodon and that has to be incorrect since there is very few ways to generate dudes and there is no level up.
so i cut out the dudes, and double down on glass knight. ive seen lists running just viscious scalehides and truesilvers with him and it was kind of inconsistant. but with the corpsetakers also included the divine shield being renewed is actually possible. not to mention a 3/3 with divine shield taunt and lifesteal is very powerful against all these odd aggro decks running around now to counter the shutterwock shaman
now there may not boards full of dudes, but with the 1 mana hero power and the still-powerful call to arms you always have a minion on board every turn, making the buff cards much more powerful. and dinosize is a very potent finisher that lets you lock out games vs slow decks such as shutter shaman, and variants of lackey warlock
you dont have to play the master sword smith, i just found him to be the most useful 2 drop coming off of call to arms to deal with all the 1/1 spam in the meta
EDIT: cut loot hoarder and 1 swordsmith for 2 wild pyros.
as much as i like the smiths in this deck and how edgy they are, they are the weakest 2 drop i can cut other than loot hoarder and the wild pyromancer has been a key card against odd paladin which is more popular for some reason
nice job
I think you are on the right track, even paladin should not rely on making dudes, we aren't great at and the ladder is heavy with odd paladin which can out-dude anyone. But we need card draw, I am always needing to win with only 1-2 cards in my hand late. Not sure if Cult Master is the answer or adding back in the Loot Hoarder. May also consider Lay on Hands for those longer games.
I should mention it began to stall out at Rank 8 and has match up issues in Rank 9 with lock and priest both heavy.
+1 I like this deck. It feels pretty solid and you can pressure your opponent even though you're not playing the aggro version of even paladin.
What this deck does lack though is card draw. Sometimes you run out of cards too fast and you have no way to get additional cards back in your hand, so you're running out of options.
Did you consider Cult Master?
