Deck to deal with the incoming nerf to Starving Buzzard & Leeroy Jenkins
Getting well renouned 10x Legendary Hunter,Xzirez to personally test this particular build in the top 100 legend bracket over in EU. (Stay tuned for details)
~Donnie
Update: 24 games played in total on legend bracket yesterday in EU realm with a final score of 18-6 & The day before the Asia results were even better than that. There was one specific run in which he went on with a 40 game win streak!
He recommends you build your own unique version just inter-changing a few slots only to best adapt what you are comfortable with in your specific playstyle without changing the curve or synergy too much and it will guaranteed perform for you in any competitive play scenario because that's when you play your best is when you are comfortable piloting it. He also went on to say that when you don't use the above suggestion that the skill cap for the deck becomes extremely high. I will have him post more about his results, his variations, what all is inter-changeable, how many cards are inter-changable and what he thinks about it as the future of Hunter for you all later today after his live stream. "Please be patient" :)
More information: 1) If you want to catch him playing some trial & error adapting to the decks high skill cap, synergy & new mana curve either on livestream or see past videos of the deck you may view it here http://www.twitch.tv/vbsof
2) Here is the pre-nerf version he ran today 9/16/2014 before ending his stream for the day going 3-0 http://imgur.com/raBTt5u
3) This is one of the post nerf versions he tested yesterday 9/15/2014 on his stream in legend ranked play Cult Master works confirmed! "I didn't miss Starving Buzzard as much as I thought I would when playing this deck"-Xzirez.
View deck list here http://imgur.com/MYMKQ3f
4) To run the pre nerf version just put Starving Buzzard in place of the Cult Master
5) Playing the deck now on his twitch live stream to see if even cutting a Kill Command is viable? We are doing this because if it is then that just shows proof the potency of this particular build. Watch the results live now on EU realm legend bracket 9/17/2014 9:00am EST- till 1:00pm EST http://www.twitch.tv/vbsof ~Xzirez~
6) "I would like to thank everyone for giving this deck a chance in this meta. I will be streaming soon here myself and instead of just building decks for you all to crush people on ladder I will be on the grind as well so look out for me in all 3 realms. (Sniper no sniping) Anyhow please follow my new twitch channel I just made as I will be playing all of the decks you see me create on here to give you a hands on understanding of how to win with it to the best of its capabilities"
Okay so after a long hiatus away for "me" time it's finally time to pay the piper and respond to all of your lovely replies so let's get to it!
@AlexK78: No that doesn't seem lack of skill as the reason to your problems previous with my deck. As the saying goes that any Legend player will tell you that anyone that is capable of acheiving rank 5 is also capable of Legend if they devote enough time so congrats to you for that as that really is an acheivement in itself. You are basicaly a Legendary player that don't have time for the grind. (Nothing wrong with that)? Yes though when the deck has poor RNG it struggles (As do all decks and no build of any deck can escape that as no deck is completely impervious to all decks or else our entire meta would just be 1 deck and every match would be a mirror). However when this specific deck build decides to give you good RNG instead of bad it's basically an auto win no matter what you are facing so it allows you to make play errors even and still get you wins which I find it has to because the skill cap of the build is peak. I am happy for you that you are finally getting good RNG with my deck and also thank you for not giving up on the build right away as I have put endless of hours of testing into this particular build so we can have a really versatile non concrete card for card customizeable deck. It was the goal and it's nice to know my first attempt was a success at building the first of its kind customizeable deck. Perhaps I will do more customizeable decks in the future for players of other classes but when you do this even more play testing is needed than normal. (Like tons more) You are very much welcome for the sincere response. I am never a troll and am always sincere and face to face with people about any matter in life. As life = time and trolling = Waste of everyone's time. It hasn't fell out of the meta nor will anytime soon so feel free to play it this upcoming season as well. (That's why I did all the playtesting for is so my decks are always up to date).
Feel free to follow my Twitch channel as I will start steaming for you all soon as I feel I really have something to add to the games meta so for the players sake I have decided to do this as my builds are innovative. http://www.twitch.tv/epicvoltarin/profile
"Good luck in the upcoming season,Alex. Best wishes"

Hello!
Currently testing this deck out a bit and it seems very strong so far. I'll post my match results, commentary and such when I've had more time with it. So far it performs well. Fantastic job creating a unique deck that is also quite functional. Look forward to more from you in the future!
Okay so after a long hiatus away for "me" time it's finally time to pay the piper and respond to all of your lovely replies so let's get to it!
@Grat3fulH3ad: Thank you so much for testing my deck out in this seasons meta as well as subscibing to me. A second thank you also is in order for when you get those play test results back to me because without them I can't fine tune the deck to be the best it can be for you all. Happy to see you are getting results from it thus far & thank you very much for the compliments. I try as best I can and this I feel is my best way to give back to society because strategy is what I am best at so why not pass it down right? There will be lots more to come in the future (It's only going to get better from here)
"Nice to have met you on my Twitch account. Best of luck on this upcoming season!"

Love the deck, on a 13 game winning streak as we speak with it.
Only own 1 Sea Giant and no Mukkla, so I replaced with Loatheb and King Krush, and deck is still awesome. The mark of a great deck is when people friend you after kicking their butts just to tell you something like "I hope you get cancer you RNGing Huntard", Which has never happened to me till I picked up this deck.
Double Knife juggler, snake trap followed by Cult Master the following turn, Living the dream!!
A 40 game win streak is impossible, obviously all of these stats are fabricated.
It wasn't a 40 game win streak it was 40 games with win streaks in it. i went on several 10 game streaks followed by 3-4 loses. if you dont believe i am capable of doing this i understand, i have streaked to top 10 legend many times before. i streaked from top 200 to top 5 as early as today using miracle with 1 loss about 20 games won. i have proof of some of these on stream but i dont always stream when i play. none of these are fabricated
Just ran into this as a priest. Even though I could guess it was snake trap I couldnt help but activate. Then the hunter played a hyena + Cult master ..rekt.
Played a couple of games myself
1-Vs Tempo Rogue : Bad starting hand and couldnt get owl/hunters mark to beat down his belchers. Had 2 giants on the deck but lost. Close game
2- Vs mid range hunter - Disconnected, but I think would have won. Drew 4 cards from spider and trap.
What I dont get -
1) Flare- I think should be 100% tracking as the card combo of trap/SH/Cult master is ver imp to draw .
2) No mukla so using a Defender of Argus - I think is a good replacement for sure as the deck has no taunts (barring 1 Houndmaster).
3) My biggest concern is the awkward slots of 3 secrets 1 scientist and 1 bow - Is ther a need for scientist and bow at all ? With 4 secrets and 2 bows in normal decks i think that makes sense. Reqest a good alt for bow - maybe a 3/3 farseer to heal ? and scientist for 2 mana maybe a faeire dragon ?
I think this is alot like squirrels hunter deck- same idea of x2 snake and x2 cult master. Nice idea though, needs more testing. Am only Rank 10 so maybe meta is different than it is in legend.
Good afternoon,TCO123 happy to know my deck is getting some attention and catching fire enough to start seeing it on ladder. (Sorry you lost to it),but I am happy that you decided to go for it yourself and push the limits of a skilled Hunter by trying out this deck so thank you for that. Also thank you for your feed back results so I can further analyze the deck and fine tune it for you all to use as a method to get you to the Legend bracket and higher ranking once within that bracket. Hunter is not dead after the nerf. With this particular deck it's quite the opposite and actually gets stronger because the deck you are sideboarding for is the aggressive Hunter that runs the Leeroy Jenkins+Unleash the Hounds combo and we never have in the first place freeing up even more spaces for versatility after the nerf.
Your biggest concern will be answered because I don't let people just hang wondering that try my deck out. The least I can do for backing my decks that I make.
1) The Mad Scientist is there for 2 reasons. The first is because of the awkward number of 3 secrets in which you spoke earlier and recognized so it will increase your tempo as well as thin your deck & feel as if you are playing 4 instead of the three in the deck list. The second is because you have to get Freezing Trap down against Rogue match ups in the "Miracle" to increase your win % against the deck and having the Mad Scientist in clutch situations will do the trick quite nicely for you again without losing tempo.
2) The Eaglehorn Bow is in there for the stated reason above that it is just like you are playing 4 secrets eventhough only 3 are in the deck guaranteeing an extra charge the majority of the time. Also it is in there to answer the Undertaker of the opposing fast decks that play them and this is the one that makes the most sense and it's a top choice of the meta at the moment.
"Good luck in rank 10 with the deck,TCO123. Hopefully you are doing well with the deck and are even doing better than once anticipated and tuned the deck to your liking to do so & please check back here with any future results for feed back purposes of the deck. Thank you for giving it a try".

Haha donnie you sound like an english butler :) Thanks for your inputs will try em out and get back. Would love to see the deck in action..if u stream
Okay so after a long hiatus away for "me" time it's finally time to pay the piper and respond to all of your lovely replies so let's get to it!
@TCO123: An english butler huh? LMAO too funny I'm american I swear (Ohio) hah just an older gent and very respectful and humble as all I try to help everyone best I can. You are welcome & let it be known it was your specific comment that was the straw that broke the camels back about streaming. I mean I have thought about it before since without me the meta will suffer greatly plus if I was to stream then all of your questions and methods to play everything I post the correct way will be revrealed before your eyes wihtout missing anything since I am not a net decker and play my own creations.
1) Interesting fact about me I am the creator of "Demonlock"back in beta season from it came the dreaded Handlock deck everyone uses today. I am not taking credit for the deck as I did not put the finishing touches on it to make it be Handlock but I am the origininater of the stepping stone that did create it. Demonlock is the deck I rolled with eventhough the other decks popularity and if you are utilizing my specific version it will get you Legend rank even in todays meta. (Maybe I will pos that for you all sometime on here)?
2) Here is my Twitch account for which I will start streaming soon please follow it as its a baby account since I just signed up for it and have like no follows at this moment in time haha

I have found great success with this deck. Played some casual games to get used to it and then started playing it at Rank 8.
I made one change:
-King Mukla
+Defender of Argus
DId some nice win-streaking to 6.
I highly suggest removing Mukla. Yes, if you have coin and Mukla in hand, that's pretty much a win, but often times I find that he can be detrimental to my board late game. So I replaced him with Argus. Argus performs well early or late. Argus on snakes, hounds, Adds protection to your hyena, makes your opponent trade to creates to pop snake traps. Also helps get some of your other 2 health cards out of AOE range for spells like Holy Nova
Let me first off just say Epic commentary with your feedback and findings! So Kudos to you good sir!! These are the types of feed back reports I need to help shape this deck in our future meta so it stays a premier tier 1 deck no matter what nerf Blizzard decides to throw at us. So much information makes me happy inside :)
Any future comments please model yourself after this particular comment whether it good or even if you are having trouble. The more information we learn the best I will be able to help you and it still is a work in progress so any testing and reports back from players is beyond helpful and I require them to keep this deck in our future meta at viable legend rank competitve play as well as keeping it versatile & fun for all of you. Also give match reports where your version of the deck shines as well as where you have trouble (if there is any?) I also need to know win streak reports and such.
Such information is vital for the future of this particular deck and our Hunter class and not just at legend, but at all ranks. I mean damn I couldn't ask for more he even explained his version, what he replaced and why he replaced it? You are truly heaven sent,Carthorn01

I am having serious trouble with this deck. Currently 1-4, mostly because I have horrible starting hands/top deck, but also I have noticed that no board clear seems to be a bit of a problem. I will try putting in an explosive trap somewhere but I am nowhere near having the same luck that everyone else seems to be having.
Good evening to you,AlexK78 I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the deck. Horrible starting hands, bad mulligans & top decks can be a problem as with any deck. Also it was mentioned that this decks skill cap is extremely high and not for the new players at all that's why I got Xzirez to do the testing for me rather than some random friend or even myself for that matter, It needed a professional Hunter's opinion to see if it was just the skill cap being extemely high or if it was was unplayable because the consistency was too low to have a strong win/loss ratio.
So far the testings have shown it to be just a high skill cap as the reason so I recommend you stick with the deck till you get a feel for its unique playstyle & also watch Xzirez livestream when he plays the deck to see how to best pilot it to know which moves are right and when to make them and what to mulligan for on each class match up in the meta and so forth.
I appreciate you trying out the deck and especially for your personal feedback records. I urge you to keep at it as even Xzirez hasn't gotten all of the deck worked out yet as far as piloting it he admits and that's after playing it for the better part of a week. The pay off comes when you learn it in its entirity for if you do then when the nerf hits you'll be the Hunter player your opponent fears most in the meta because no other version of Hunter produces as much free mana and card draw as this specific version. That is when the wins will come.
Also as previous stated it's called "Machine Hunter" for a reason. You can inter-change certain cards of the deck for other ones as long as you keep the same mana curve and synergy in it. So far in testing we have managed to change up to a maximum of 7 total slots and still make the deck perform at a great success rate. So you have 7 slots in the deck you may change up to fit your playstyle accordingly. We did this particular testing so players that had trouble with the high skill cap could best adapt to it since they play best in their own comfort zone. So directions are simply this for the deck. 1) Use the skeleton from above in the original list. 2) Then change up to 0-7 slots in it to best fit your own unique playstyle that you are comfortable with or works with the meta you are facing most for that day.. He says that this should decrease the skill cap for the majorty of players in our Hearthstone community. I do apologize for making a deck with an extremely high skill cap tagged to it ,but in my defense I almost cannot help it since I am a deck builder that originated from Magic the Gathering and the game is literally so complex with no RNG other than top deck and if you even draw mana or not? If you didn't make a high skill cap deck you just lose. Innovation or nothing is the motto of that game pure and simple and that's where I come from.
Brian Kibler is also a professional Mtg player and deck builder here like myself so I am sure you all in the Hearthstone community are about to see some real innovative stuff also with extremely high skill caps from him because he has always has pushed the envelope for Magic and now he is here. He is currently #3 Legend in NA right now and is responsible for the meta Priest deck everyone is using right now in ladder.
Back to the discussion though so yeah just take the deck and make it your own and stay with it only changing 7 cards maximum and if you are still stuck I recommend you to watch Xzirez on his live stream and past videos of him playing the deck.
"Please come back later with your future results after taking this advice. I am positive that you will be able to make it work eventually if you stick with it. Best of luck to you,AlexK78"

I've played since the beta and have gotten up to rank 4 as my highest rank, so I wouldn't consider myself unskilled, however I've been struggling a bit more as of late in terms of climbing but I also play a lot less so that is part of the reason. I have been playing the deck a bit more with some better luck in terms of card draw and top deck so I am going to stick with it, especially with the new hunter meta starting today. I appreciate the detailed and sincere response :)
Have been play testing this deck for the past 4-5 days on Asia and EU. On EU my highest was 31, on Asia i am not legend yet so i played the deck from rank 8-2 with a huge win streak only had 3 total loses which is insane. I had a hard time at first figuring out how to build and play the deck and i think i would be able to go much higher then 31 when i have more experience.
The deck might seem weird at first but sea giant makes a lot of sense in hunter and people have tried it in the past with various results. The main concept is to bait removal early game then play savanna turn 6 and giant in combination with snakes or unleash to get it for 0-2 mana but the giant often just gets played as a 5-8 drop. Since hunter already has a easy time dealing face damage adding a 8 damage giant to the count often results in a easy 1 turn kill on turn 6-10. I have several times killed my opponents at 20+ health with a giant and some beasts with this deck. The deck is much harder to play then the standard hunter and you often have to count each turn to see how many minions you get from unleash, how much giants cost and if your opponent is likely to have a good removal for a specific minion. The deck plays similar to hand lock in some ways and you often have to wait or just skip turns to get a huge unleash with 2 giants.
I have tried a ton of variation but the ones i find the best are the ones listed in the desc +- a few cards depending on if miracle rouge and warrior are being played or not. i have tried sun fury in this deck which crushes the mirror but sucks in every other matchup but when the meta was just aggro mirrors i won almost every game. I figured playing snake trap and bow is the best for this deck since there is a lot of synergy with snakes. The deck is going to be a lot better after nerf since the meta depends a lot on curving perfectly in the mirror and drawing buzzard in every other matchup, its hard to build the deck to do both as there are so many different builds of hunter ranging from straight up aggro to control. after the nerf the meta will hopefully take a step back from being all the snowball aggro hunter that we see on ladder today and if it does this deck will be able to cut more 2 drops and focus more on actually consistently getting giant combos of or dropping constant big threats.
This deck is not for new players and is very hard to play at first. i can compare my learning curve with this deck to my learning curve with hand lock or miracle rouge, i do decent at first but not good then i start understanding the deck and i win every game for a while.
Cards like cult master and gladiators long will be able to be played if the meta changes into what i think it will more control and less mindless aggro if not loot hoarder or cold light can also be options but cult master seems like the best.
I sincerely hope the nerf to buzzard push back the aggro hunter as i don't see much of a problem with the standard midrange one as it not at all has the undertaker or lerroy combo top deck rng element that the aggro one has. Aggro hunter will win EVERY game with a good undertaker start or a lerroy unleash top deck. The only cards i see problems with are undertaker and mad scientist as these cards don't act like 2 drops or 1 drops more like 3 drops and even 4 drops. Undertaker is always a 2 drop minion value and often can become a 3 drop minion for 1 mana. When they add cards like undertaker and mad scientist they need to make cards to beat them which the game dosent have other then fiery war axe no card goes 1 for 1 with these cards with out sacrificing stats
This is a base deck skeleton. Like the alpha copy of the future of Hunter after the nerfs hit that still is viable just keep the curve and synergy the same and make it your own that best adapts your specific playstyle and it'll work for you. It has wonderful results thus far in both EU and Asia now I just need a top 100 Legend NA Tester. I am about to post them now for you all in the info section of my deck. That's half of the reason for the name behind the deck being called "Machine Hunter" is it's a proto-type deck almost like a Mr. Potato Head or a machine (if you will) where you can inter-change pieces of the deck here and there and still gain winning results as long as you don't leave the curve idea or the synergy behind the deck as several versions have been tested and all are doing well. The other reason for the name is because when your curve lines up with your synergy your production of tempo & free mana-rate is too severe that only a machine not a man could produce as it just rolls off the assembly line non-stop & leaves the opponent using their entire turn to play catch-up and it happens quite frequently. "
"Thank you for your comment,Ph33rlicious all feedback is welcome & would love you all to post what you did with your specific version of it in ranked & how it performed for you. Looking forward to it!"
~Donnie
7-1 with this deck tonight, absolutely loving it...and not winning nail biters, simply dominating people. Synergies working nicely...have King Krush in for one of the giants since I only have one. Great build.
Thank you very much for your personal feedback report. Everyone's feed back matters as does the future for Hunter in the meta. The more information we receive the longer we can be like "What nerf"? and stay in the spot light as a premier tier 1 deck & class. Might I ask what version did you attempt to play of it to collect more data on the deck? Like what pieces of the deck did you keep and what did you decide wasn't to your specific playstyle and switched up? Or did you just run it card per card on the main skeleton list above?
"Again I can't thank you enough,slickr4 for the feed back. Please like & subscribe for future updates with the deck & deck techs I release in the future along with arena pick analysis" Have a wonderful season with your new successful Hunter deck" !
