Arcane Intellect is a staple card! The mages who don't run it are aggro / rush decks. Aggro has no use for SV, either. They run Divine Favor.
totally agree.
This new sacrificing minions mechanic seems terrible in most decks but I dig it in Paladin. Play mustard before, and assuming your guys dont get AOE'd you can get 2 cards for 2 mana on the next turn, and still have some spare mana.
I'm not a big fan of Arcane Intellect. This just seems like an inferior version. How badly do you need that card draw anyway? Wouldn't you rather just run Azure Drake if you need one extra card?
I'm definitely not high on this one. Even when it triggers for zero mana it's probably not that game changing. Maybe I'm wrong and it'll find a home in some crazy aggro muster deck. But, I'm unimpressed. Heck, a Cult Master is going to be as good or better most of the time. I think my issue is more with card draw that doesn't affect the board than anything though. And other folks play the heck out of cards that do just that so don't listen to me.
If you don't understand the power of card draw in Hearthstone.... Or why Arcane Intellect is a staple in all but zerg decks... Well, I'd be surprised if you ever make it past Rank 15....
Now, I must admit that Azure Drake is a very tempting card in place over SV. It's a body, which is great! However, Paladins can't make good use of the spellpower and thinning your deck by two, usually for 3 mana or less, is pretty huge for paladins.
I think this is quite good and should have a shot in the meta. Concentrate is always a two of in pally decks, which of course runs well with this card. I see this card being best in control but likely could work in any pally deck.
Cult master + pyromancer + mustard for battle makes this card cost 1 mana if you also had a normal hero power token on the board. So at turn 10 you can draw 6 cards for free.
"for free" it's a 3 card combo, you do 2 AOE damage to your enemy, you get a light justice and you get 6 cards it's actually can be suicidical cause.. well.. on turn 10 you got BETTER things to do specially as you get dragons and stuff.
Uhhhh no.. your playing Pyro and wasting the "Muster" for battle 1/1's for card draw, so basically your burning board advantage and buff-able 1/1's (Assuming your running a Quartermaster as well as almost guaranteeing the death of your pyro and Cult Master as you take them to 1 hp, to re-fill your hand with cards you Probably cant use. While this combo would be good IF your head, if your behind it just gives your opponent another turn to beat on your face and ruins a good 3 3/3 Late game combo.....
i would run 1 of these in my controlish paladin, i mean equality conq+ this or muster for battle trading in then this could get alot of value.
And they keep building the Paladin class as leaders of The Zerg Swarm, the class that should really be all about quality over quantity...
Quality over quantity?
Try telling that to Arthas and Bolvar.
Cough* Cough* Lich Kings. Ahem.
This card is fine.you always want to draw before trading
But you have to trade first before casting this? So it's ... not fine?!
Aggroish card. We are not gonna see it in control match ups for sure.
It looks more like crap to me
Disagree. It's way better than Cult Master, for example. Trade 2-2, 1 mana Arcane Intelect. Sounds good to me.
i disagree. Paladins have probably the worst card draw mechanics in the game. Any help with card draw is going to be played.
