Thief Pala

One of the main disruption cards is a neutral, so that’s rough.
for control I guess its good but devs are still overvaluing legendary status
Does something when played on 10.
If all the disruption added is enough for a value paladin to see play, then this is good, especially with Brann. If it's not then you're probably better off with the Mr. Smite OTK or Kazakusan.
If Pala has ways to survive until turn 7, could be a nice finisher?
But other classes don't have that many good legendaries either, now more than ever considering there are some archetype-only this expansion
I like this legendary! Now we are talkin'!
nice anime opening
I'm still amazed to see (people?) hyping over a 7 mana 7/7 do nothing in 2022
I mean, its a value card, and it's effect is insane... its basically that 5 mana 5/5 legendary naga but its a 7 mana 7/7 (a little slower) but with a MUCH stronger effect. It could most definitely see play in some sort of control or midrange pali. Yea if the meta is pure aggro, it might be too slow... if the meta is slow at all, this card is nuts
i think this card probably wont be a classic turn 7 play. I guess its most likely played at 10 mana with the instant use of 1 invitation. Then ofc it depents on how good your legendary choices are.
She only invites what she wants Sadge
No matter how good it actually is, it already is my favourite card of the expansion. Love to play some racist Paladin. Only hurts a little bit that I won't be able to include Blademaster Samuro anymore, which is basically an honorary Paladin card.
Darkest Dungeon: Crimson Court flashbacks...
I love the flavor and the effect, specially for a Paladin Legendary that usually are "I gain stats" or "I play spells that give me stats".
And it's an autoinclude in Pure Paladin. But I don't know if you play Pure Paladin just to play this card. The problem with Paladin cards are that they are "To fair", you can't add extra copies of your win condition to your hand, you usually don't even have a win condition other than "make a big dude and hope it sticks" And for that reason, even if at some point the deck becomes powerful, people just have to add Silences, Polymorphs, and Devolves to their deck, until it becomes unplayable again.
But the fact that this Discovers a Legendary is a big deal. That means that you can Build an alternative Strategy. Suddenly you can draft King Krush, Al'Akir the Windlord [/card]and [card]Tess Greymane, and have a Win Condition out of nothing.
At least its a fun card, but a nice one.
I'm amazed folks are saying this is bad lol. Paladin has insane healing and the most broken Hero in the whole game's history (IMO). How is it that you're not going to be able to spend your turn 7 with a 7/7?
It's not that you're not able to do it. It's that you're able to do much better things for 7 mana.
Also your most broken hero in history is not active yet on turn 7 so how is this relevant ?
It's more that random legendary these days, especialy from another class, are not that awesome as lot of them require some synergy with like spell schools, secrets and so on. Colossals are nice but usually its gonna be 3 mana for some stats I think
