Just to be clear on my point, we were saying that 3 mana spell from Queen Azshara was bad for the same reason, 8 mana for a 5/5 and a random Colossal. And it turned out to be pretty good. And that spell is 100% random. This is Discover. If this costed 10 mana I'd agree. But costing 7... At turn 8 you throw Lightforged Cariel and you're good to go the next turn.
Bloodreaver Guldan or Shadow reaper Anduin still the most broken heroes
Although I agree they're strong, Guldan being a finisher and Anduin allowing that machine-gun play style, I don't think they're as broken as having twice, triple or even quadruple amount of health quite consistently. If you think about it, Cariel also makes your healing be twice as effective, so we could say every heal gives you 2x heal.
That card is broken and IMO an error. Don't think it'll be a problem in Wild given that Wild is "balanced" with broken agro. If wild slows up a little bit, that card'll shine there. Maybe it does now, I don't know, don't played wild in a very very long time.
Queen Azshara is a card that generates value out of thin air, with a condition that's trivial in most slow decks. You also see her used because it can give you a little bit of adaptability to different situations, the ring can abilitate some combos, and so on. Sure the horn is a solid choice but if that were the only effect of the card would you still play it as much? Let's say your answer is yes, would you still do it if she costed you not just one slot but up to half your deck worth of card choices?
Old pure paladin, correct me if I'm wrong, only had 2 cards (4 when you added the 2x for each card) for supporting the archetype.
Now we have 3, one legendary, the new Zilliax and the one that discounts itself by each paladin card. That archetype was used a lot with 2 support cards. Why not with 3, one being a potential finisher? Also, we have 2/4 that discovers Paladin cards, so you could go loop with these.
Paladin is a class that in general dislikes using neutral cards. As someone said before, it's the big stats class. Fewer neutral cards can be better than a Paladin card.
EDIT: Actually it had 3 cards aswell, not 2.
I'm not saying the deck is hopeless, I am no fortune teller. I'm just pointing out the problem with this card is not much the card in itself, rather its opportunity cost. If a deck exists that will be happy not playing neutral cards, or that will only renounce a few for this anyway, I simply can't know now.
The archetype doesn't look too promising though if that's what you're asking. Neutral tools like Samuro, or even just Pyromancer, have historically been used quite a little bit by control Paladin builds to compensate for the lack of class tools. Anyway, I wouldn't bet against it, I'm also historically bad at predicting which archetypes will work and which won't ;)
We need to see, IMO Equality + Pyro was mandatory before, but now we have tax, and that's actually better since it doesn't clears your minions.
I also agree, can't assure this is going to be good as well, but also can't say it'll be bad. What I can say is that whatever it's I'll dislike because I never liked Paladin lol.
Queen Azshara is good because the colossal hits the board as early as turn6. Which is earlier than most colossal's mana cost. When you play this on 7, you can play 2 legendaries for 6 mana on turn 8.
Turn 6 and turn 8 are quite a big difference..
also colossals are good on their own mostly so azshara gives you 1 out of 12 good options. This lets you choose from 3 from pool of I don't know how many
Cool card but extremely slow, play a War Golem then spend 3 mana to discover a legendary from another class that likely don't have synergy with your deck... Meh.
I always hope for more pure paladin support and I'm always disappointed when they deliver.

Playing 7 mana 7-7 seems dangerous. Might be pretty good once you survive tho. High chance of a colossal, which are mostly good.
If we go that route, then it would effectively cost 7+3. I'm not complaining about value per mana, but my complaint is that 0 is free, you don't need to plan your mana around it and 0 cost cards lead to busted combos, especially when those cards were designed to cost a lot of mana. I thought we learned with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza.
Nevertheless, I like the card and this kind of effect.
Dragonqueen gives your 0 cost cards immediately when played, this doesn't. So they learned. Queen good, Countess bad.
The flavor is spicy, i like it.

Yet another card that can give you large minions for 0 mana.
You'd think they learned after nerfing cards like those to 1 mana every time.
Ok first of all you're not guaranteed to get a large minion from it, there are a lot of low cost/low stats legendary in the game right now, second you have to play a 10 mana War Golem before you get to play your 0 mana potentially large minion, it's totally fine, in fact, it's totally trash.
FROM ANOTHER CLASS. That sells the card honestly. If it included neutrals it would be trash, class legendaries are always better on average.
The problem is that Control Paladin has zero wincons within the class, needs either Mr. Smite or Kazakusan to have any chance at closing games, so this is unplayable in that deck for now. If they ever give CP a class wincon, this could be pretty good.
standard card, never playable in wild (big pool bad legendarys) ,Slow value card = bad. You cannot play an invitation alongside it until turn 10. There are a lot of class specific legendarys that need synergy to work. The ones that are good on their own are the colossals. Maybe this works in standard now with the limited card pool if the game is slow enough. Wild no chance, you might play it in pure for flavour reasons.
As I said I love it but I think we still need atleast one card to support us running paladin only cards
