Quote from Blizzard“Well, look who it is!”
Some new faces have just shown up at the inn! Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft is happy to welcome new Heroes as they pull up a chair at the game table!
These new Heroes put a fresh face on the classes you know and love, and bring along some unique surprises of their own.
Picture Perfect
These new Hearthstone Heroes will feature beautifully detailed animated Hero portraits, including all-new art never before seen in the Blizzard universe. The first new Hero we’re introducing is a famed Warrior—the mighty King of Ironforge himself, Magni Bronzebeard!
Aside from the vibrant new Hero portrait artwork, these new Heroes also come with unique Hero power animations. Magni’s version of the Warrior’s “Armor Up!” Hero Power is sure to reinforce the fact that his majesty is not to be trifled with!
New Heroes also come with unique emotes and voices that convey their individual personalities, a play area featuring a custom visual theme, and nifty “entering the game” animations so you can greet (or intimidate) your next opponent in style.
If that wasn’t enough, new Heroes also come with a unique card back that will impress even the mightiest of dwarven kings! The steadfast “Magni” card back is added to your collection immediately after purchasing the Magni Bronzebeard Hero, and can be used with any deck of your choice.
New Heroes will be available for purchase from the in-game Shop for $9.99 USD! Usurp the traitorous Garrosh Hellscream and bring down the hammers of dwarven justice with Magni Bronzebeard; the first new Warrior Hero for Hearthstone—coming soon!
New Heroes do not add new cards to your collection or change the classes’ activated Hero Power and are not considered new classes.
The funny thing is that blizzard launch jst THREE heroes at time.. like it was a huge and difficult job. I mean, it jst a fcking ILLUSTRATION with voices, jst draws. I've played mobas when every WEEK they launch skin and avatars for heroes, and this is blizzard not a starting company. And they're not giving us the chance of buying with game gold! Wtf is this.
Zeriyah confirmed that is was completely free, but the free cardpack is only for the first few Brawls, so I'm guessing it's Blizzard's pseudo-standard 3 packs for the first 3 brawls. After that, who knows?
1 free pack per week. YES ITS COOL, but its nothing at all. wqith all the cards it exists, it represent absolutly nothing.
And new mode is free only to lower the hate toward those overpriced portrait, and it got boring after 10 games.
I'd love to see Vanessa VanCleef instead Valeera Sanguinar. Edwin needs his daughter on the table!
I'm poor as hell but I'm still looking forward to this, I like aesthetic things. Half the reason I like hearthstone is because it's so aesthetically pleasing. Also £10/$10 is the price of a new skin in League. This type of skin seems to be much more enjoyable (to me at least) than a skin in league too. I'm happy about this announcement!
I love the idea too, but i jst don't get why like in other games they don't let buy skin with gold money. I have never spent any dollar on HS and i won't.
It's aesthetics only, you don't have to buy it if you don't want/is poor. The game is already free. Cry harder.
$10 for that shit? Nope.
Try fixing the horrible unbalancing before announcing shitty new heroes that give 0% to the game...
Play as Magni for free and before the release : ^^
i like the concept but its a little overpriced. Im not an expert but i think more interactions or something like card skins ( as kripp said ) could be added. However i think that blizzard should do something about the small nuber of deckslots. I dont think that is a difficult task and a lot of people have been requesting it. And dont compare this to league expensive skins cause they have ton of features (voice, ability changes , special recall, dance, even their own soundtrack)
I'm just hoping they have a Kael'thas hero for Mage, I'd buy that, but spending $90/£70 for all of the skins is pretty steep in my opinion. I know the prices are quite expensive, but I wouldn't object to buying one or two to look fancy and help support Blizzard.
"help support blizzard". Guess 10S NOW will help a billionair company to pay fees
It will be weird if when we get Malfurion aka the Druid cosmetic new hero will Illidan still say "Hello brother," or will Cairne still say "Garrosh, you are not fit to rule the hoard" against bronzebeard? still cool add on but 10 dollars per class is crazy
This alternate hero thing feels really unimportant right now because it's a thing that changes little to nothing at a price not worth paying for. I think only the rich would want this probably to support Blizzard even more by simply giving them money. Actual worth of these new heroes though I think it would be around 1$ each (with card back included).
game needs more variety with only 2 none human races from world of warcrafts 13 playable races !?
humans (3/9)
orcss (4/9)
female characters (2/9)
the paying part does come along a little greedy on top of having to buy cards and expansions but I guess they have a cash shop in a subscription game so things like this are probably to be expected, maybe a card back store soon where you can pickup the missing backs :)
edit:to clarify. how is a hero portrait and six 5 second mp3 files worth the same as a whole adventure wing or several card packs?
they should've made them $15 each
Moba games has a lot of skins and cosmetics adds. So i hope it will come a lot of new heroes, i mean is not that hard, its jst an illustration with voices. Also i hope blizzard do something with the price or let ppl buy with game gold.
Why not? There's already existing precident that you can have a hero in the same game as a minion version of that hero, even on the same side at the same time.
You can already be Ragnaros the hero (via Majordomo's Deathrattle) with Ragnaros minion in play.
Under some very wierd circumstances, you can also be Jaraxis the Hero with Jaraxis the minion in play (priest vs warlock, thoughtsteal Jaraxis, then put a jaraxis minion directly into play with mind games for example).
While it is something they will think about, I doubt they will worry about it too much. You can already have things that don't really make sense in that regard, like Ragnaros the minion attacking Ragnaros the hero, and I don't think players really care too much about that kind of thing.
