This might look like it's 8 Mana, but Lightning Bloom exists, so it's often 6 Mana, then edging out the Rogue and Paly Herocards, for a Turn 6 Consecrate and Taunts. (Heal and a Face Fireball seem less effective)
Those are more OP though, so Shaman's looks more "fair", it is beautifully flavoured, and definetly an Upgrade to the dreadful "Summon a Totem" Heropower.
Summoning 4-6 in Taunts or spamming consistent Consecrates for 2 Mana should never be underestimated, feels like becoming a PvE Boss at this point.
Most likely an Auto Include in any Shaman deck, another Instant Day 1 golden craft for sure :poggers:
It might be 8 to make it harder to chain the battlecry with Brilliant Macaw and Bolner.
Can you macaw Brukan battlecry?
Yes.
Yes, but it will most likely be similar to repeating Fireheart's battlecry, that is, the Macaw picks the two elements at random.
Double lightning bloom into this hero is the right fit for the meta that is now. Imo this shudve atleast costed 6
There's no one pointing a gun at your head for you to play the meta decks.
Oh hey, another cool card I don't get to play because Quest decks exist.
Great job NOT limiting your design space devs!
I really like the design of the card (it's like the Boom hero), but am afraid that it is WAY too slow for the current meta (assuming that you can't select the same element twice on summon--then, this can hit face for 12 as a finisher, clear the board or summon four taunt minions).
The twitter post has a video and you only get two different choices.
I loved Kalimos, Primal Lord back in Un'goro. But with how much the speed of the game has changed since then, even two invocations isn't an 8 mana effect
yes he is great, nowadays every last douchebag without brain or common sense feels harassed for no reason
This is cool as hell and you can't change my mind.
So it's a 2 cost Hunter Fireball, a weaker "Drop two Bonechewer Brawlers on the board without the enrage mechanic" that's still pretty solid, a Divine Hymn, or a Consecration that doesn't hit the hero but is half the cost...?
And then to boot you get to choose between two of them right at the battlecry of this card for free in essence.
Maybe Encumbered Pack Mule would be a better example for a vanilla 2/3 taunt lol
Very great control card if this replaced the previous Shaman hero cards (Hagatha and Thrall) to be in Standard 2-3 years ago....
At the moment I don't see where it fit in Standard yet..... Frost Shaman? Aggro Elemental Shaman? the most fit to me is probably Midrange/Control Elemental Shaman
In Wild, another nice addition for Reno Shudderwock Shaman as it won't need to use Hagatha anymore...
Pretty damn good design, but IMO this costs too much, especially compared to the other overpowered hero cards.
really fun card.
Unless we get Quest disruption the Hero Cards are useless.
the hero power will change randomly each turn from all 4 not just two. they wording is weird, but its like dr.doom, randomly changes. if it was every other turn though, he would be nuts
You pick two for the battlecry, then your hero power will be one that wasn't either of those, but will then change between all 4 randomly. Bliz seems to kinda suck at being clear with things this set so far.
