This week's brawl is Fairytale Brawl!

Directeth thine actors, forsooth! Two Players!!
Rewards:
A Year of the Phoenix Card Pack for winning the Brawl once.
How to play this Brawl
This is a VERY unusual brawl. You start by picking one of 5 classes, which will let you "play" with a premade deck. In my case the deck was a fairly standard Quest Mage deck by the look of it.
Then once the game starts, instead of playing your cards like you are used to, you get to pick 1 action from a selection of 3, and that is the ONLY input you have during your turn.
The rest is the AI playing your turn for you. If this sounds like it will be a constant misplay party, then based on the 1 game we played, it seems this will not be the case too much. There's optimizations that could be made (my opponent's AI did not play around Iceblock as well as it could have, it had the option to leave me at 1 health and instead hit me when I was still at 4) but there's also quite clever plays (I chose the option to have my cards reduced by 2 mana, but no less than 2, and my AI used this to play coin + Incanter's Flow on turn 1, instead of the Mage Quest. I lost in the end, but that was a good play and it probably kept me in it.) and all in all it seemed like my actions between turns were more impactful than any good or bad plays the AI made.
The options between turns were, among other things: Reduce the cost of your cards by 2, but not less than 2. Draw 4 cards. Summon 3 random pirates, they have Rush. Copy your opponent's minions. And more!
in my game I am playing as a mage and with opponent at 2 hp is firing spells at minions on board ignoring opponent HP. I am seriously considering uninstalling.
Until I read this article, I thought the actions are just random. The plays are so dumb (i.e priest healing opponent face or minions, mage casts damage spells on their own minions, missing lethal countless times, etc) that I find it impossible there is some kind of logic or intelligence behind them.
Warrior is the only way.
Mage is fucking stupid. I had 10 reduced cost spells in hand and it fucking used draw, pinged and passed turn with lethal onboard while still had literally every single board clear and ice block.
AI is not the best, but it's not that bad, that's what I thought. Then I played priest, and AI decided to cast 2 Elekk Mounts on enemy minions, and wasn't willing to play any of 2 Hysterias I had in hand through the whole game, instead wasting Mana on healing opponents with Hero Power.
I. E. If you actualy enjoy the brawl, better not play priest.
Tips for this brawl. Play Warrior, it's probably the best deck and the one that the AI seems to fuck up less. Always pick summon 3 pirates and give them rush. ALWAYS. if you're too behind on board getting copies of the opponent's board is ok but it's usually just pirates everytime it's offered. You kinda rely on what pirates you draw but with a half decent drop and rush pirates the AI will smorc the opponent fairly consistenly. Finally don't stress too much about it, the AI is idiotic and will miss the easiests lethals. In my case the dumb AI missed lethal 3 times in a row for example. I kept summoning pirates with rush and the AI kept using their weapon to clear taunts instead of rushing in and killing my opponent.
When next I hear someone complaining that Blizzard has a sophisticated AI that riggs matches and draws based on deck content to carefully pilot results to a desired standard, I'll just silently point to the AI in this brawl.
God hell, this is the worst tavern ever existed. I keep loosing due to stupid missplays, this is utterly riddiculous. Dont you dare to bring back this shit tabern again.
It played the warrior quest at turn 6. It attacked first and then used the attack damage increase. Playing first Xyrella and then flash heal. Casting First flame on my own minions. Healing enemies instead of me. Casting ignite on myself lmaoooo pathetic.
It takes a special kind of sadistic idiot to come up with this shit.
I wish for the bananas brawl.
congratz for putting out the WORST Brawl in Hearthstone History. Was hella glad when I got over with this clown show...
hot garbage, still 0-5, no fucking skill. pump and dump brawl
Awful
Jesus... After actually playing it a few more times trying to get a win, calling the... thing... that does the whole of your turn for you automatically can't even be called artificial intelligence because it literally has none. It literally played a Bloodsail Deckhand, coined, and then played the freaking warrior quest...
I LOLed hard at the misplays, pretty funny brawl.
Reading through the comments here while waiting for my game to end (mage v mage) thinking surely mine can't be as bad as some of these....welp my AI ended up drawing cards at 1hp and no cards left in the deck while we had an ice block up......had to wait through the ENTIRE GAME FOR THAT.
This literally just happened to me and I came to see if there's someone who had to experience this as well. Mage vs Mage, we both just popped and Ice block, he had 1 hp, I have 1 hp. I draw my last card. AI plays refreshing spring water. And that's after wasting a full hand of 0-1 cost "damage enemy" spells with a golden kobold in the same game after managing to somehow finish the quest and play the Arcanist. I feel you.
I feel the hate, Blizzard. No way this isn't on purpose.
"Why aren't our payers-I MEAN PLAYERS embracing Mercenaries like we told them to? We're not making our quarterly projections! They still play the regular game!"
"Not after this Tavern Brawl they won't"
yeah this is a 1 time and done brawl
Blizzard: We don't hate priests.
Also Blizzard: We programed the priest AI to lose on puporse.
