The whole problem I have with this, is that they keep giving this to one class. So when combo becomes a thing, only one class will have options against it, instead of printing more cards like Dirty Rat, so that everyone can fuck with those kinds of decks, while also getting punished if you don't use it correctly.
I want a more control oriented game. Need more anti-aggro cards! Disappointed!!
This is fucking disgusting.
THANK YOU this "deep" mechanic is very cool and something I've wanted for quite some time....but why ruin it and make sure people can't play cards in this card game?
ALSO THANK YOU person with a functioning brain... some strategies rely on actually playing it out through most if not all of their deck....I agree that the "tracking is bad because it discards cards" is wrong BUT THAT IS BECAUSE you only run it in decks that have no intenction or interest to even see what mana crystal comes after the 5th or 6th one...let alone the bottom of their deck.
This is also exactly the reason why [REDACTEDTUS] can autowin the control matchup without being OP in terms of winrate (which is EVEN WORSE design imo since this means he's unlikely to see a nerf despite how unfun and polarizing he is).
We're getting stuck with a game where actually playing the game is becoming more and more of a formality and the gameplay is becoming: choose your archetype--->queue up---->either concede or watch the opponent concede once you "identify" one another as it's not even worth trying. This is a shame as Hearthsone is a game I REALLY enjoy playing but it seems like the developers are moving more and more towards the idea that not playing the game is the best way to play the game....
As an extra thing I think this card is.......fine......more or less....in a world where [REDACTEDTUS] always self mills as well. Now: would this card still be very annoying? YES, would it still be better for the health of the game if it didn't destroy the opponent's deck? abso-fking-lutely.....but still it would be a HUGE inprovement
The devs are playing with fire here (literally). I already don't like Tickatus. Let's see how this goes...
To add on the fire meme, this will also more than likely be discoverable sometime down the line with mage
Thank god it’s just a Warlock card. If this was revealed as a Demon Hunter one people would be losing their shit.
Jesus Christ man. . . let me just play my cards.
Just because this card and Tickatus exist. Why would anyone want to play control on any of NINE diffrent classes?
Horrible design, just like Tickatus force people to play aggro decks.
I just imagined someone playing the Pokemon TCG against some random kid and suddenly he whips out a card that lets him take out his lighter and burn the kid's cards.
I know, i‘m gonna get roasted, but i think this card is needed in some way. In wild vs raza priest, against otk decks in general and so on. Yes this card is bonkers and broken, but also kinda needed.
But not in Warlock, of all classes, the one that is already at the top in Wild. This had to have been something that ANY class could run.
Is it just me or has Thijs aged 20 years in the last 2? He's looking rough man, not sure if he's been doing some drugs or maybe just genetics but wow. Almost didn't recognize him.
It doesn't help that he looked super young for his age and had a "cracked" voice
He was in the hospital for quite some time
i think it's because of his surgery
When only one class does it, it adds more flavor to it. It's fine. It doesn't impact your gameplan unless you're hoping to get to fatigue.
With all my respect, we are here for playing cards, not for burning them.
IKR! In my opinion It's fine if there is a mechanic like that, I mean, your win condition can be burning your own deck and play Neeru Fireblade for example, but do not burn my deck!
"It doesn't impact your gameplan unless you're hoping to get to fatigue."
Very untrue. The "Tracking's discard doesn't matter unless you're planning on hitting fatigue" school of thought does NOT apply to every strategy in the game. Example: burning cards in your opponent's deck will absolutely cripple and destroy a combo deck or C'thun deck on a highroll, but a zoo or aggro player will just laugh it off and keep doing whatever it is they're doing.
